Yosemite Big Creek Inn, located in tiny Fish Camp just two miles from Yosemite National Park’s South entrance, offers a calm respite outside of the busy park. This comfortable inn, hosted by Pamela Salisbury and her amiable standard poodle Indy, includes only three guest rooms on its spacious upper floor and fills up quickly, so book early!! We stayed in... More

Pam was incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable about Yosemite's highlights, schedules and road conditions. She kept me on schedule and provided a beautiful, clean and quiet room. Highly recommended...

Really enjoyed our stay. Nice place, very quiet. Room was very nice, plenty of room, comfortable bed, good sized bathrooms - we had two, which was great! Leaving the windows open during the day provided us with fresh air, and a very comfortable temperature when we returned from our explorations at Yosemite. Just a few minutes from the park gate,... Fantastic accommodation very close to the south entrance of Yosemite Park. The rooms were clean and airy. Pamela is a superb host. The generous breakfast was tailored to our needs. There is a huge choice of books and DVDs for when you get back from along day of hiking.

My partner and I spent two nights in late July in the Madera room. Big Creek Inn is about as close as you can get to Yosemite National Park without actually staying in the Park. Initially I'd hoped to stay in the park but it was extremely pricey. Funnily enough, I'm glad the cost of in-park accommodation pushed us out... More

My husband I stayed for two nights mid July in the Queen bedroom. The room was large, very clean and very comfortable. The Inn couldn't be much closer to Yosemite. A perfect location. The Innkeeper is a doll and extremely knowledgeable about the park. We followed her suggestions every day and found the suggested daily itinerary perfect for us. Included... More

The location is ideal, allowing you to go into the park and then veer off west rather than staying in one of the lodgings on the valley floor. Allows you to see the real life of the people of Yosemite - Pamela saved us hours in trying to fond the best spots and was delightful to chat to. The personal... More

We've been here for two nights in July 2015; it's located about two miles' distance from Yosemite's south entrance but it's already in the park (as you can see from lots of trees at the edges of the road on the way to the Inn). Pamela was waiting for us at the door and she welcomed us in her beautiful... More

Ideally located, very close to the park entrance and easy to find. Pamela is very helpful and accommodating, her level of hospitality is unmatched. She has great insight into hiking in the park, offering advice on trails, peak traffic times, and weather. Wonderful and quality breakfast spread - freshly prepared eggs, sausage, bacon, mini pastries, fresh fruit, cereals, yogurt, coffee,... More

We went to Yosemite from Death Valley for part of our Honeymoon in late May. Pam was waiting for us when we arrived around 7pm. She is very welcoming and the house is immaculate. We stayed in the Merced room for 2 nights with 2 double beds and a large bathroom. We fed the stellar jays on our balcony with... More
