Its very basic accommodation but its clean & comfortable. The staff are just lovely & helpful - its in a very quiet secluded location. Obviously this isnt to everyone's liking Its probably the closest place to Mariposa Grove

First, this place is a little hard to find, the sign is on the main highway, but as you turn off and go up the hill, you think you are driving into a neighborhood, doesn't look as if there is a lodge up there, then boom, you round a corner, and there it is. Small place and a little strange.... More

A nice cosy room, comfortable enough and definitely good for the money. You feel like you're on your own as you go straight from outside in to the room, we hardly knew anyone else was there. The staff were helpful when we asked for directions. Downsides would be that it can be quite dark as there are only bedside lamps,... More

When we arrived they were replacing the roof and had people still working at night. This work disrupted the Satellite tv so we had no reception for both days. The restaurant was closed so there was nowhere to get food unless you drove into to town 18 miles away. You can hear anyone outside or next door like they are... More

A big surprise on our 15 day long roadtrip, was the fact ,that we got the best breakfast and the best evening meal, at White Chief Mountain Lodge. Ben, the chef, not only cooked good meals, he put his heart in making it looking faboulus, with strawberries, melons and other good and healthy eatable "decorations". Also the new, young waitress,... Great staff, lovely breakfast, 2 miles from the south entrance of Yosemite park. Very helpful giving directions and where and/or what to do in Yosemite park. Even though they had some trouble with the electricity due to a fire, they helped everyone as good as possible.

My husband and I wanted a relatively inexpensive getaway before welcoming our first child into our lives, so we booked this hotel. The location was great, but not worth it. The rooms are small, which isn't a big deal when you're spending most of your time outdoors, but the room was dark and dingy. The lack of light should have... More

For those who are picky, and want a fancy room, this is definitely NOT the place for you. But if you are looking for a place to stay to lay your head after a long day in the park, then book here. We stayed here coz of its proximity to the the south entrance (just 5 mins drive) and the... More

This Lodge was in an excellent location for visiting Yosemite. We stayed one night but in the afternoon we very able to visit the Mariposa Forest and tall trees and have a meal at Wawona Hotel, visiting the hostoria village there.

We were there for 1 night…hopefully only this one night. We got the only room without window and directly near another room which serves to do many things but especially lots of noise! So some of the staff goes in and out late by night and of course very early in the morning. They talked loud and absolutely didn't take... More
