We arrived at this Inn well past closing after a very long drive through windy and rainy conditions in Yosemite. We rang the bell to get a room(no reservation) The lady who came and helped, very quickly, was the nicest person! The room was warm and cozy and breakfast the next day was great! The two ladies we talked with... More

This review is for the site in general, though we did not stay here. My fiance and I visited this site as a potential destination wedding hotel for ourselves and our guests, with Sugar Pine Railroad next door as the potential ceremony site. Great theory, but when we walked the property and toured the rooms, it didn't quite have what... More

We can ditto previous travelers' comments about not trying to find this place in the dark! It's located on the very winding up-and-down 41 South of Yosemite. (Call ahead to ask for tips on how to locate the place as it is off the road, down a steep driveway.) This is about as close to Yosemite as you can find... More

We spent three nights at Narrow gauge Inn. It was close to the entrance of Yosemite Park and to the Mariposa. A wonderful breakfast is included with the nightly rate. They have hash browns, hard boiled eggs (not hot eggs) cereal, fruit, hot sausages, bagels, toast, juice etc. Our room was large enough for three adults and one 4 yr... More

We loved our brief stay here. The rooms were comfortable with a rustic charm and the stable door to our room adding to its appeal. We loved our small breakfast basket of a morning. The rooms were warm and cosy and well proportioned. We visited during off peak so the main restaurant wasn't open. However, staff were very friendly and... More

It felt like stepping back in time with this place, everything but the TV and queen bed is the originial. If you prefer modern, and everything new, this is not the place. The bed was very comfortable and the place was spotless clean!! Be advised to drive to this location in the DAY light hours since if was very difficult... More

For those visiting the Yosemite Park this boutique hotel is in a special location. The hotel is decorated throughout in the smallest detail, creating a very cozy atmosphere. The restaurant is also very beautiful, nicely decorated with hunting and offers a very good breakfast. The attendance of employees is also first. To complete, the price is also very good for... I did book somewhere else at first, then cancelled it when I saw this place. I remember seeing a review that said that it was like staying at Grandma's house. As far a the room went this was true. A very quaint room. I loved it! Then there was the great breakfast in the very well decorated dining area. It... More

The wonderful experience we had at the Narrow Gauge Inn began right at check-in. We were greeted with a warm friendly smile and given details about the property, and tips about visiting Yosemtie as well. I was prepared for a "rundown motel" as I knew this was not the kind of hotel we're used to staying in. I was pleasantly... More

Arrived at the Inn and was immediately disappointed with the fact that the restaurant was closed for the winter season. Apparently the management have decided to close the restaurant from November to some time in the spring. Seeing as this is a National Park, eating options are severely limited, and absolutely no assistance is provided for getting you to and... More
