Was welcomed very nicely at the gauge inn, we wanted a nice family meal. Was seated at a lovely table over looking the beautiful trees. We all had a fantastic meal. I had the salmon which was perfect. Would highly recommend visiting this restaurant. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

Loved this Inn for its location and rustic charm, rooms were old but clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful and there's a very nice restaurant on site which is just as well as it is quite isolated. That was also part of the charm. It's right next to the Sugar Pine Railroad. It is built on the side... More

My wife and I have not been to Yosemite Park for several years. Most times in the past we would take just day trips. We planned to stay overnight, and thus our search began. We selected the Narrow Gauge Inn as a result of oother reviews as well as its closeness to the Park entrance. We were able to check... More

A very pleasant visit to this rustic inn. Attentive staff and good old fashioned service made for an enjoyable family stay. Accommodation next to a National Park in keeping with the concept of fitting in with nature. Be prepared to experience the temperature fluctuations of summer days at this elevation and enjoy the connection with the natural environment.

Driving from San Francisco to Yosemite to spend the day looking at the amazing scenery of this National Park was tiring but wonderful so fortunately we had booked accommodation at the Narrow Gauge Inn in Fish Camp not far away. Finding the place was a little problematic as the GPS refused to play ball and the signage on the winding... More

Stayed in the hotel as part of my honeymoon and even though I asked for a honeymoon set up nothing was set up on our arrival. Most of the rooms don't have air conditioning which is uncomfortable during the summer. Beds in the room are not comfortable and pillows are not great as well. Rooms don't have a fridge! Also... Not the place to stay during "peak" summer season due to no AC. Returned from 5 hrs hiking in 90 degrees at Yosemite and our room is like an oven. There are fans but they only move very hot air. Otherwise great proximity to Yosemite without being in the park. Pleasant room albeit old fixtures (sink handle fell off, toilet... More

The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. Vintage decor adds to the charm of the rooms, office, and restaurant. The breakfast buffet was a great way to start off the day with several things to choose from including fresh made waffles. Too bad the restaurant was not open for dinner in early April. The location is about four miles away... More

This is a gem in the forest. The staff is very attentive and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable with a lovely deck with a very nice view. The forest is cool and very quiet. The pool is private and very nice after a day of hiking. Highly recommend a stay here you won't regret it. And it is super... More
