We were sorely disappointed with our stay. Room was small and dark, the set up of the kitchen amenities and luggage storage in the bathroom was weird to say the least (especially given the extraction fan didn't work), the synthetic fragrance pumped through the air cond gave me severe sinus problems, the soundproofing was non existent, so we were kept... Got in late and the room key was left for me to make getting settled in easy. The grounds were well kept and the porch and rocking chairs were a nice touch. Breakfast was good. I wish I had gotten in earlier to have dinner. Their hall looked interesting. I would stay here again.

A few things up front: we had 2 full size beds which was not ideal but I knew this going in. The shower in our room was tiny! There is not really privacy on our balcony but it was really beautiful. The Inn is Beautiful. Yes, the room we had was pretty small but we didn't stay in the room,... More

My husband and I have just returned from a lovely stay at the Narrow Gauge Inn. Nestled in the forest within a short drive from the south entrance to Yosemite, you have convenience without the tourist bustle in the Park. Accommodations attractive and comfortable. Views through the tall trees of the Sierra Nevada of distant hills. Lovely pool setting. Flowers... More

We paid £1,000 US Dollars for three nights, Thurs, Fri and Sat, in late July through Expedia. The hotel charges this because they can. I sought a hotel within Yosemite months earlier but this was the only on available - it is two miles outside the Park. However the room was very much like that you would experience in a... More

We stayed here at the inn while visiting Yosemite. While it is over an hour to Yosemite Village, you can visit the southern area of the park easily. The inn was clean, quaint and the staff very friendly. It was located in a very quiet area. The grounds were pretty and well landscaped. Breakfast was included with homemade waffles and... More

At first glance, this is inn is adorable. Built in 1952, the main building and restaurant have all the charm and quaintness you would expect of a mountain retreat. The rooms are ok, nothing special, save for the fact that you get your own little deck with rocking chairs, facing the woods. We bought beer in the lobby, and had... More

Thank you for your comments. We are looking into what we can do to better rooms but love to hear you enjoyed the deck and restaurant. Ron is a wonderful part of our restaurant staff and will be thrilled to hear about your review. Please revisit us in the winter, our restaurant will close for the season at the end... More

My wife and I were impressed when we drove up, but it ended there. Checking in was ok, but when we opened the door to the room it was like stepping back into the 50s or 60s. Everything was outdated, except the TV (it was a flat screen). It was warm in the room so I checked the A/C window... More

We booked 2 full-size bedrooms for an overnight stay. The only draw back was that the rooms had fans only and no A/C. However, the staff did inform me before I confirmed the reservation. The rooms were clean and neat. In the price was a continental breakfast but it really was more than that as they provided sausage, strawberry waffles,... More

I stayed in room 25, which shares a wall with the office common area. The wall is so thin there that I clearly heard the office phone every time it rang (between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM; evidently the calls are rerouted elsewhere off-hours, thankfully). The coffee stand that is available in that common area is right next to the... More

Thank you for your comments, I am so sorry about the noise heard from the office. We will try to fix that, also the AC concern will be addressed. Glad to hear the staff took good care of you. Rooms on the lower level are requested a lot, due to privacy. Hope to see you return so to make your... More
