This would not have been my pick of an overnight stay in Yosemite but we received this little trip as a Christmas gift. Again not "wowed" immediately when we arrived but after settling in and enjoying the peace, quiet and beautiful environment surrounding us, we grew to love this place. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and if you've... More

With knotty pine everywhere (even the furniture) it has a really retro feel, without even trying. Lovely location; about 5-10 minutes' drive from the Yosemite Park entrance. Nice people, excellent breakfast tossed in.

Thank you for your review, yes mid April can be the start of the busy season...reservations suggested highly. Also our Restaurant re-opens April 16th, you don't want to miss that, dinner is even better than the breakfast we serve. More

Narrow Gauge is a perfectly located little Inn minutes for the Sugar Pine Railroad and only a couple of miles from Yosemite National Park. The rooms are small but had a great little deck that allowed us to sit out and take in the forest views. The staff are incredibly friendly and the breakfast that comes complimentary is wide ranging... More

Love this place. We stayed here and had a great time. Close to the park and everything. Adorable property. Restraint. Great. Breakfast include was plentiful. Pool was nice after a long day at Yosemite forest.

We are so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. The pool and hot tub are great after a long day of hiking in Yosemite. Our pool and hot tub are closed for the winter season and will reopen in the Spring, as weather allows. Our restaurant will reopen on April 16, 2014. More

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The heater worked very well too, which was nice for winter evenings. The breakfast was tasty, with homemade breads, muffins, and home fries, as well as made-to-order waffles. What's not to like about that? All of the inn's employees... More

I did a ton of research before we headed to Yosemite and decided to try Narrow Gauge. The place was so cute, well-located, dog-friendly and the service was amazing! You can tell everyone there loves what they do. The breakfast was outstanding! Saved us so much money on food. My husband loved their fresh waffles every morning, hot chocolate and... More

Not sure why there are posts here about it being a nice place to stay and great location. The room was very overpriced and it seems they take advantage that there are not a lot of places to stay close to Yosemite. The room had a harsh cleaning smell to it that never went away although we asked them to... More

I am so sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay. Our policy here at the Inn is as follows: If a guest is not happy with a room and we have the availability, we always offer to move them to a more suitable room. I believe this was offered in your case but it was declined. Bottom line,... More

We arrived at the hotel after landing in Vegas the previous afternoon and driving to Barstow, then spending the next day in Sequoia before driving up to Fish Camp, so we were ready for rest and a chilled out environment! That is exactly what we found! Quaint is a word used a few times in recent reviews, and thats exactly... More

We loved this place during our summer stay at Sequoia & Yosemite parks. Such a cute shop at the check in area, great little breakfast, nice porch, comfy bed. The only thing a little sketchy was the tiny shower but it wasn't that big of a deal. The food at the restaurant was great too would definitely recommend this gem.... More
