This is a gem in the forest. The staff is very attentive and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable with a lovely deck with a very nice view. The forest is cool and very quiet. The pool is private and very nice after a day of hiking. Highly recommend a stay here you won't regret it. And it is super... More

Quiet setting with awesome mountain views and an excellent staff. Room wasn't fancy but was cleaned daily and well kept. Easy access to the south entrance of Yosemite. A must for those riding the Sugar Pine Railroad which is just down the hill.

Even though it was hot (95 degrees) when we arrived, got key & check into our room, the window mounted air conditioning unit was on, as was both fans (one ceiling, one table fan) and it was very pleasant. Bed was very comfy, small deck had nice log style chairs & small table - we sat outside and sipped a... More

The hotel is located about 15 minutes from the south gate into Yosemite close to Mariposa Grove and about 45 minutes to the valley. The rooms were very dated, but clean and the bed was not comfortable. There was a very bright light outside the door to our room that the curtains did an insufficient job of blocking. We planned... We just happened upon this jewel on our way out of Yosemite. You could miss it if you blink but please don't! Quaint feel from a time gone by. Spotless rooms, comfortable beds, gormet dinning. One of the best values on our trip. Our Porch facing the pines was the perfect place to relax after a day in Yosemite 10... More

Narrow Gauge Inn is a cute quaint place to stay. However, we stayed in early June and the temperature outside was 87 degrees inside the room was closer to 95 degrees. The only way to cool down the room is to open the door. We had to sleep with the door open all night and even though there is a... More

We live a little over 2 hours from Yosemite and have been visiting for over 50 years. We literally stumbled on this beautiful facility, having been past guests many times at the Awahnee, the Lodge, and Wawona. Narrow Gauge Inn is truly a hidden gem. The grounds are beautiful, relaxing, well maintained, and of historical interest. The rooms are pristine... More

Booked this hotel for 2 nights in June. Was charged for the first night upfront in April when initially booked. Was then charged a second time upon check in and also again at checkout. Wound up with three charges for two nights on my credit card. Was told that the third charge would come off by 5 business days but... More

We stayed here 4 nights, and enjoyed the very comfortable and quiet room, with a porch overlooking the forest. Morning continental breakfasts were continental plus, with waffles, home fries, and sausage offered each day in addition to cereal, toast, and hard boiled eggs. The staff were all kind and helpful in getting our bearings in Yosemite National Park, the entrance... More
