This was a wonderful hotel - each room quite unique in a most delightful surrounding of Victorian houses and Victorian main street. The food in the Victorian Inn was really superb, very high class. It was a delight just to walk around the town, everything so very clean and tidy. Surprisingly lovely little shops for such a small town with... More

The Victorian Inn, in general, is clean and pleasant with nice rooms. Unfortunately, our room ("Maren's room") was a big disappointment. The online photos do not accurately portray the room - which has soaring ceilings (15 feet?) with insufficient lighting, making the room appear sinister. The decor is drab, depressing, there is no dresser or any other piece of furniture... More

While we are very pleased to have this guest remark that our inn is "clean and pleasant", we regret the disappointment she reportedly experienced. We would immediately take steps to correct any actual faults or hortcomings, but the "negatives" listed are actually "positives" to most of our guests. The "soaring ceilings (15 feet?)", are truly wonderful to most folks (and... More

We spent 3 delightful nights at the Victorian Inn. Besides agreeing with all the previous reviews describing the beautiful decor, tasty breakfasts, and friendliness of owners Lowell and Jenny, we have an additional example of why the Victorian Inn deserves its Excellent rating: My husband's work depends on a hard wire internet connection being available when we go out of... I've stayed at The Victorian Inn in Ferndale for the last 8 years, coming in August for The Humboldt County Fair and related activities. Fortunately, certain things don't change -- namely, the great hospitality of the innkeepers Lowell Daniels and Jenny Oaks. The entire staff is very helpful and pleasant. The daily breakfasts are very good, with a nice variety... More

The Victorian Inn was a delightful surprise! When we walked into our room we thought we had stepped back in time. Beautiful antique armoire, claw foot tub, window alcove with a table and chairs, high ceilings and a fireplace! The restaurant was excellent and the owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. The town of Ferndale is so pristine... More

Ferndale was the 1st night of our vacation this summer. Wanted to stay someplace quiet and beautiful. We stayed in the Emily Rose. It was the most beautiful, welcoming place that we stayed throughout our whole vacation. Can't wait to come back and stay in another room. Would like to try them all!!! Simply Perfect. Thanks

We very much enjoyed our stay here. Very beautiful room, loved the lace curtains and the cozy ambiance. Our room had a door adjoining to another room and you could hear the other guest. but in all we enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay again.

This Inn is a real historic building and the owners preserve the details with taste and simplicity. It has impressive wood paneling and humongous tall ceilings and windows. The town is an authentic and non-commercialized victorian village. No hustle and bustle here but the bar in the Inn was friendly (and very cool) and the restaurant served food till late.... More

Our rooms were perfectly and beautifully appointed and the hospitality was genuine. The wine and cheese hour was an opportunity to meet new people and learn about Ferndale from our host. The front desk was solicitous and found the answers to all our questions about the area. Breakfasts were very good and there was variety each of the three mornings... More

Ferndale is a cute, well-kept, living Victorian village off of hwy 101 south of Eureka. It is surrounded by cows and fiarms, and is in a valley with a nice view of the surrounding redwood-covered mountains. The Inn is in very good condition and beautifully restored as a B and B. The room we had was lovely and immaculate, with... More
