So antique.. Go back in time for a night and think of what it must have been to stay in a place like this. Amazing wood carving.. Very Quiet great breakfast.. Lovely jewelry store.. Enjoyed the bar. Beware of the long stairs upstairs! Very steep!

We spent 4 nights at the Victorian Inn while exploring the Redwoods areas. The Innkeepers and staff could not have been more welcoming. We were repeatedly impressed by the seamless operation of the Inn. It felt genuinely warm and inviting the entire time. We stayed in the Ira Russ Suite, which was lovely and very comfortable. The food was fabulous!... More

Totally unexpected, we were cut short in Ferndale CA with no alternative accommodation. The proprietor and his wife, welcomed us with open arms and offered us luxurious accommodation. Everything about the Victorian Inn is authentic and extremely well run. If you are travelling to Ferndale CA, I'd suggest considering the "Victorian Inn" for great accommodation, hospitality, good food and even... More

Victorian Inn is a lovely place to stay for a night when visiting Ferndale. The location is perfect for visiting the Ave Of The Giants, a 31 mile scenic drive on old Highway 101, through the Redwoods. When arriving late the Inn makes arrangements with you to get into your room with ease. Breakfast is included and was very good.... More

Upon entering Ferndale you feel as if entering a film set, and the Victorian Inn could well be the site of a historic movie. The inn is charming and clean, the innkeepers are friendly and hospitable. Our room (209, Hana's Hideaway) was rather small and dark (small window), but absolutely ok for 2 nights. We enjoyed being there.

Basically you are in a very small town. It was hot, I was cycling and ice cream was available at the grocery store. The actual hotel appears quite old. Lots of hot water and a nice bed. Quiet. I am not sure there is any other place to stay. No lobby or place to sit on the main floor. The... More

We've been traveling to Ferndale for about 9 years now. Every time we visit we stay at the Victoria Inn. From the very first time we stayed there to our visit this week we have always had a fabulous time! The Inn is so lovely and fantastically decorated, with the best attention to detail. We love visiting with owners Lowell... More

Was looking for front desk not realizing it was in the back of a jewelery store. Was looking forward to a comfortable relaxing stay, but first had to navigate steep stairs to get to the room on the second floor. There was no elevator. Room was stuffy and lacked ventilation with the exception of an overhead fan. The room was... More

This Inn is in Ferndale, CA which bills itself as a Victorian town but there's really not much to it. The Inn looked very cute from the outside and the inside looks charming as well. I heard a woman who seemed like the owner or manager tell another table at breakfast that they had switched the dining room with the... More

Looking forward to staying here having read the reviews but were quite disappointed. Slightly quirky hotel with reception through jewellery shop and some old fashioned décor. King room OK but nothing to write home about. Didn't eat dinner in the restaurant but breakfast was good with a very friendly waitress. Ferndale a quaint town to have a wander in.
