We had planned on staying in Eureka and had the idea from an outdated guidebook that was perfectly reasonable. Both Eureka and nearby Arcata seemed to be overrun by emotionally disturbed people on meth. Really, we live in New York and were terrified. Plus it turned out the dorms at the state university were opening the next day so anyplace... More

Very happy with this quaint, and clean hotel. It fits in perfectly with this adorable town. Great location. Service was great. The owner was very nice to talk with. Having the store downstairs was very convenient.

Nice clean motel. Notice that the front desk is in the store next to the motel. Convenient parking just in front of the rooms. Small town with not much to do. Go to Papa Joe for breakfast and local charm. No wifi.

We managed to hit town on the week-end of the "Big Yard Sale" where it seems every other house is having a yard sale and people come quite long distances for the event. So the Inn was full, but there was no problem with noise. Check in was in the shop at the front of the building, which also provided... More

Our experience of this little motel was probably skewed by a couple of things. We had read about it in a guide book that called it "a sweet little family-run motel," which seemed to indicate a level of individuality and charm that we didn't find. And we came directly from the truly memorable Howard Creek Ranch Inn, with its acres... More

it wasnt luxurious and there was some road noise but it was pleasant and the owner was very helpful i think it was $20 less than the other B&Bs and i felt we had a good deal. it was cold and wet when we got there and the room heated up just fine and internet access was good too.

This was a weird set up, you had to go into the store to check in and I was shocked at the price, no breakfast either. Room was quite sweet though, but no tea or coffee facilities which was poor. Did not particularly enjoy visiting ferndale but a handy base for us to cycle to the redwoods from.

Considering all the locations in the city for a bed and breakfast are quite pricey, this place is reasonable compared to the others. My boyfriend and I stayed on the second floor and we had no noise issues. It was clean, the desk had a Ferndale paper which gave some great info on the town and on the back of... More

This is a two story, four room inn. It is located on a corner, and the office is the cashier counter in the convenience store around the corner. Tight parking, though we never had to park anywhere other than the front of the inn. We were pleasantly surprised. Everyone was quite friendly, there is coffee, tea, water, and hot choc... More
