Booked a night in their suite with a couples package that included in room massage and dinner. The dinner and massage were fantastic, but the hotel and hotel hotel staff were disappointing. The room was old, not what I'd consider luxury. The staff were inexperienced and even a little hostile. Id skip the hotel and just have dinner next time.

So, my wife and I headed to Eureka to see the jazz festival, and made a reservation at the Carter House Hotel. Our room was weird (it had a spa in the middle of it) and zero view, not worth the price. The furnishings are quite old and uncomfortable but appeared to be clean. The staff for this hotel and... Once you enter Eureka, it's easy to misjudge the town, as Highway 101 takes you right through the rough part. But when I booked a room at The Carter House Inn I found myself in the most welcoming, charming B&B I have discovered. The Old Town is filled with unique Victorian Houses, and retro buildings, now shops and restaurants nestled... More

Nice hotel, beautiful. The town is very cute too. In the hotel there is a restaurant that is really nice, although the other restaurants in town also seem fine. If you're visiting the Oregon Coast try to get there early to enjoy the hotel wine tasting, walk around town a little bit and have a nice dinner. Depending on the... More

Was here with my two kids (3 & 5) as we road tripped down the coast. Our room was comfortable, clean, & spacious. The neighborhood, however, is v sketchy. I've survived W Philly in the early 90s and was somewhat shocked that the concierge suggested we walk to Old Town. After crossing the street 3 times to avoid homeless people... More

We stayed at this place for a night on our way for a long road trip to Canada and back. Upon arrival and knowing that it's our honeymoon, they gave us a slightly larger room (the room had been canceled), which was very much appreciated! The staff were friendly and accommodating. We had a glass of wine at the bar... More

We stayed 2 nights in the Bell Cottage. The room was beautiful and very clean. Beds are amazingly comfortable. All staff was very accomidating. Great location. Only a few blocks to great dining and shops in Old Town area. Only thing that could've been better is the breakfast. The fritatta looked like rubber and both my bf and I could... More

Rooms were spacious, clean and well appointed. Staff was exceptional. Really went out of their way to make sure you were happy. Breakfast was included and was really, really good. Would definitely stay there again.

We were planning a road trip down the coast and decided to stay a the Carter House Inn in Eureka since it looked nice on the web site. We opted for Bell Cottage to have a little more quiet and privacy. That’s in a building across the street and around the corner. All seemed okay at first glance. Then we... More
