The Eagle House in Eureka is a great stop for rest and food after a two day ride out of Canada or a good day ride north from Frisco. The owner allows motorcycles to be parked on the inside of the hotel in the theater / ballroom once you check in. (Walked in / not driven in) Unpacking your ride... more

The location is very convenient to the old downtown and a number of restaurants. The architecture of the building and the furnishing are great. The manager is a great lady - has a lot of knowledge of the hotel and the city. The bed and rooms are OK, not fantastic. more

We stayed a few days and the room was comfortable, if a bit on the shabby chic side. It's sort of like going to grandma's house with1940's decor. No closet in the room, rather a rickety armoir. TV was very small but that's OK since we didn't spend much time in the room. The towels are nice and fluffy. The... more

My daughter and I stay at the Eagle House every time we go to Eureka. It's the perfect location to stay and walk to everything. The Inn is beautiful. Every room is different and full of antiques. There is a great pub down stairs and a really nice Mexican Restaurant right across the street. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. more

We booked this hotel on the basis that we wanted to explore the Redwood Coast for a couple of days and thought Eureka would make a good location. As we regularly use tripadvisor for recommendations and as the reviews were so good for Eagle House we had no qualms...until we drove down the streeet towards the hotel. The street seemed... more

I was not on site at the inn when these particular guests checked in and out, so I didn't get to interact directly with them during their stay. But, I will try and address their concerns and remarks about their experience at the Eagle House. I see they arrived on a Sunday, and yes it is quiet in Old Town,...

Beautiful and comfortable hotel, and no more expensive than crappy chains. One of the best stays I've had. more

Enjoyed my visit. Reservation was easy and Betty was great help. Allow time to walk around and visit local shops. Room was great and enjoyed high ceilings and antique furniture. Walk across street to waterfront and view of harbor. Rates change greatly for July. Can stay for less than 100.00 sometime. more

Outstanding

My wife and I were looking for a place to stay in Eureka. We were driving around Old Town and literally stumbled upon the Eagle House by accident. We were quite pleased with the hospitality and accomodations. We would recommend this Inn to anyone traveling through the North Coast looking for a place to stay and explore the local area. more

I have had the pleasure to spend 4 nights, 2-3 weeks each month for the past 8 months. I always find the staff very helpful in assisting me in every way possible. I enjoy staying at the Eagle House over the many other Inns due to the fact that the building is over 100 years and is totally furnished with... more
