Eureka sucks, it's full of bums, loud trucks, and meth addicts. BUT if you choose to stay in this part of town, the Bayview is definitely the best room you can rent. Extremely clean, and the size and layout remind me of a much more expensive room. For example, the room offers a working refrigerator and sink. There is a... More

The Bayview sits on a bluff above Broadway and overlooks the middle section of Humboldt Bay. It is quiet and feels very private even though it is near homes and overlooks the businesses below. The office is in the owners' home in a separate building. Our king room was upstairs, mom's 2 queens downstairs in the one 2-story building that... More

After traveling all day from Oregon, driving through many dive-y areas, Bayview Motel is a much needed breath of fresh area. Staying in the standard King room on the second floor, the room is spotless, smells wonderful, and huge! As a young married couple trying to travel on a budget without sacrificing on quality, this place is a gold mine.... More

It's a small family-owned motel. The room is clean and very spacious. It has a patio facing towards the bay, however, you see only part of the bay. It has no AC, I'm glad I stayed in a cool night. Overall, it was a pleasant stay/rest for the night.

I had an upstairs room. The room was huge with a balcony with a partial view of the bay. The room was super clean with linens that were in great shape. The decor is dated, but that's my only negative observation. The family that owns the motel is super nice.

The Bayview motel is exceptionally clean with large rooms, comfy beds and a friendly staff. It's nearby several local restaurants and grocery stores on HWY 101. We highly recommend it for good night sleep.

Nice and friendly staff. Room was clean, bed was good for a comfortable sleep. However there was no AC, and the room never cooled down. Opening the window or door was not an option due to the heavy traffic and noise from HWy 101. For these reasons and only these reasons I would not stay there again.

Met with a very friendly host who was most helpful in providing maps and info about our travels through the Redwoods. Found the rooms incredibly large with doors on both ends, one door to the parking lot and the other to an overview since this hotel sits high on a bluff. Room was very clean and beds were quite comfortable.... More

We have stayed in several different hotels in Eureka (we have family in town). This one has got to be the best and still with a reasonable rate. The owners are pleasant and attentive to everything! The rooms are clean, impressive. We stayed on the 2nd floor. As with other hotels with a "view" we thought for sure we'd have... More

Nice rooms and grounds. Clean. No air conditioners. Opened window but noise until late. Tv needed better stations. No breakfest. The inn keepers were very nice. Air during hot months would be helpful. This was a solid three out of five motel. View of bay was mostly of the commerial end.
