I very much enjoyed my stay at the Hydrangea Inn. We stayed one night in the Trillium Suite and one night in the Bungalow. Both locations were wonderful, clean and beautifully decorated. Renee made amazing and fresh breakfasts each morning AND left us a large homemade chocolate chip cookie (that didn't last long, it was amazing!). I'd definitely recommend these... More

Renee is probably one of the best hostesses I've ever experienced! She had a freshly baked cookie waiting for us when we got there, served us the best breakfasts in a basket right to our door, and gave us great recommendations on what to do and where to eat. I live quite far from Northern California, but if I ever... More

Very clean! Loved the decor. Retained much of the older character and charm of the house but amenities are up to date. We stayed in the Rhododendron flat in which we occupied the entire second floor of the house utilizing two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a combined kitchen/dining/living area. Lots of space and if you have need some time to... More

I alreay knew from reading the reviews of this property what it would be like and my wife and were not disappointed. Our hostess was most helpful and the suite we were in was extremely comfortable. The location is not very suitable unless you are travelling by car but otherwise everything was top notch.

My wife, son (2 yrs old) and I were absolutely spoiled by Reneé and her wonderful BnB. The chocolate chip cookie welcome, the absolutely amazing breakfast and the superbly comfy bungalow was perfect for our family. Who needs big chain hotels when you can get better value and more hospitality at a gem like this. Please do yourself a favor... More

On an unassuming street (at least the way we came in), this lovely house is just suddenly there. The owner has done a great job of redoing the inside and out of a family home. We stayed in the Redwood Bungalow, which was clean, adorably decorated and super comfortable. It had a lovely small private patio where we enjoy breakfast... More

Having never visited Eureka before and having cruised through the town before we got to the Hydrangea, my wife and I were both a bit apprehensive. As we drove east up Ave E, our anxiety increased since the neighborhood looked more and more like one you'd envision on "Cops". As we pulled into the driveway however, we were surprised by... More

My wife & I stayed here for four nights, and were very happy with the Inn. Before arriving, it seemed a bit too good to be true, but it definitely exceeded our expectations! We stayed in the redwood bungalow, which is a super nice cottage in the backyard with its own (small) gated yard. The cottage itself was spotless, spacious... More

It was odd to let ourselves into a private home. That said, our only complaint was the lack of confirmation of our reservations. Renee finally called at 8:30 the first night but we had given up. We couldn't find the place and were charged for the night anyway. She blames the booking site. They blame her.

Renee C, Owner at Hydrangea Inn, responded to this review

These guests used Booking.com an automated system for them and the inn . All was usual on our end. The guest left home in Michigan without confirmation information and did not to call Booking.com for their information. All this is very unfortunate, but I called at 8:30 to check on their arrival and held their room for them. More

We stayed in the Bungalow. It was very nice to have a private space. We had great weather so we had breakfast outside on the private patio. The breakfast was fantastic. The room was comfortable and very up to date and clean.
