It was odd to let ourselves into a private home. That said, our only complaint was the lack of confirmation of our reservations. Renee finally called at 8:30 the first night but we had given up. We couldn't find the place and were charged for the night anyway. She blames the booking site. They blame her.

These guests used Booking.com an automated system for them and the inn . All was usual on our end. The guest left home in Michigan without confirmation information and did not to call Booking.com for their information. All this is very unfortunate, but I called at 8:30 to check on their arrival and held their room for them. More

We stayed in the Bungalow. It was very nice to have a private space. We had great weather so we had breakfast outside on the private patio. The breakfast was fantastic. The room was comfortable and very up to date and clean.

My wife and I were extremely pleased with the cute and cozy bungalow. The kitchen had everything you could want if you intended to move in for a week and make this place your temporary home. My wife even took pictures of the interior to use as inspiration for a small vacation home that she intends to build in Zambia.... More

Thanks to Renee we've had a wonderful stay in Eureka. There was a warm welcome as we arrived and the fresh made breakfast was delicious, especially the dutch babies. Renee provided also some fresh made cookies, i can't stop thinking about these cookies. We stayed in the upper floor and had a cozy room, with bathroom, kitchen and lving room.... More

We stayed 2 nights in the Rhododendron Flat, which include two bedrooms, a living room and a small kitchen. The whole house was beautifully decorated, paying attention to small details. Shortly after we arrived, Renee baked a big chocolate chip cookie in a skillet and it was so tasty. Each morning Renee prepared a delicious gourmet breakfast for us. We... More

We stayed 1 night in the Redwood Bungalow (separate from the main house). It was very comfortable and provided all the amenities of home. Included is a nice kitchen, living area, separate bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen is fully stocked with plates, cups etc.. We were greeted with a large cookie skillet made for us by the Inn keeper. It... More

My husband and I spent our 10th anniversary weekend in the Bungalow at the Hydrangea Inn in Eureka, CA. It was a wonderful place for a romantic weekend getaway! There's also family-friendly rooms in the house. The food was yummy, and the service was excellent. We will definitely go back.

We had a wonderful welcome from Renee at this is a gorgeous heritage home. It is beautifully appointed with antiques in every room and décor befitting the era. It is an absolute delight to stay in such lovely surroundings. The sumptuous breakfasts set us up for the day ahead. But we were never in any rush to depart. The area... More

My wife and I just stayed at the Hydrangea Inn and will definitely return if we are ever in Eureka! The Inn is beautiful and we absolutely fell in love with the Bungalow. Renee gave us a very warm welcome and even 4 days after our stay, we are still reminiscing about the breakfast. This is the place to stay... More

We planned a short-notice getaway this fall. Having never traveled the northern California coast, we started with a visit to family in Alameda, then braved the twists and turns that took us as far north as Orick. We based our far north travel out of Eureka, and enjoyed two restful nights (and great breakfasts) at Hydrangea. Our host, Renee, was... More
