We enjoyed our visit in Encinitas/Leucadia, due in part to the community around the Leucadia Beach Inn. There are a number of very good eateries within 5 minutes walk. Just up the hill behind the Inn is the beach - maybe 10 minutes walk. We rented two rooms in the Courtyard over Thanksgiving. Even though the innkeepers were busy, they... More

Because it is budget friendly you can afford to eat breakfast out. There are a variety of good local restaurants. There is noise from the train and traffic. You do have to walk some to get to the beach. Tall people must read: I am a woman 5'5" tall and we stayed in room 20. The shower head sprayed me... More

Leucadia Beach Inn is conveniently located on Rt 101 and is near the metro train station. Within easy walking distance of Leucadia Beach, other guests while were there were busy loading and unloading their surf boards. When I walked the beach each of the access points had bunches of surfers enjoying the waves. The Inn itself is not meant for... More

Rooms are nice enough to stay for a few days. Our bathroom was very small - no place to even hang up a towel. No window either in the bath and the ventilator was broken. Bed was comfortable. Not too far from the beach and plenty of restaurants nearby. To not: the reception seems to be open only from 4... More

After weeks of searching for a reasonably priced hotel near the beach, I found a great deal at the Leucadia Beach Inn. The hotel was beautiful! Our room was clean, and spacious enough for myself, my husband, and our 2 young children. There is not a free breakfast so the kitchen was very handy for preparing our own breakfasts. Free... More

The people were very nice who work here, but we did not have mobile phone text or call reception inside the room, the alley out back was dirty and smelly, and the room was very small. If you have a dog, there is no grass to be found anywhere. The location is great by the beach and a French cafe... More

We live close by in OC but love Encinitas. A few years ago we discovered this little gem of an inn and we keep on coming back so we can get our Encinitas fix. The rooms are always spotlessly clean, the staff super friendly, prices can not be beat and location is ideal. It is a pleasant walk to the... More

We arrived a little early and our room wasn't ready, so the gal at the desk suggested we go to the farmer's market nearby. WOW, we really enjoyed our time there browsing the artsy displays and sampling the food. We chose to order a meal at the crepe stand and it was very, very good! We bought a couple of... More

We came in around 2/3pm on a Friday and when I had called two days before, I was told by a man that I could call them ahead of time and they should have a room available. When I called, a woman answered and she was kind of abrupt and told me that nothing would be available until 4. When... More

All the rooms are different and the one we had was really nice. Large size, although the bathroom is small. No breakfast but a coffee pot (great coffee at very short walking distance). The 'kitchen' had a stove range, sink, small frig, microwave, and enough dishes to get by. A/C worked well. Staff were very nice. The place kept really... More
