My husband and I have stayed at the Woodfin many times and always returned because of the room size and amenities. On our last stay we were very disappointed. We always book the best rooms on the 11th floor..and most expensive..and this visit they had changed the Starbucks coffee to some cheap burned brand, newspapers were no longed delivered to the door and... more

This two week training conference started out well with respect to the hotel. I arrived and was greeted with a nice smile and was checked right away (10am). I was expecting to have been asked to wait until regular check in time. I later learned that my colleagues were not as luck, but I supposed this issue comes down to... more

Debated about staying here vs the Courtyard Marriott, for a 2-day business trip. My colleague swayed me to the Woodfin, where I'd never stayed. I was actually quite pleased, and I think actually I would stay here again over the Marriott (although I do like those Marriott Points). When I checked in, my internet-reserved room was taken, so they upgraded... more

The Woodfin seems to have carved out a niche, providing large suite style rooms in an area where their competitors offer "only" regular rooms. Check-in was the most efficient I have ever experienced and took less than 5 minutes. My paperwork was already done when I arrived - so all I had to do was sign one form, and then... more

To start off, the hotel is outrageously overpriced. The standard rate is $219. This is not overpriced considering it's in the east bay, but the hotel is right next to a railroad. Therefore, half the rooms in the hotel face the railroad, which runs pretty often. So at 2am, 3am and so on, you're shocked awake by the train horn... more

We have stayed at the Woodfin Suites a number of times. It is in a great location, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is proximal to reasonable shops within walking distance and provides quick access to Berkeley and San Francisco. All in all the rooms are comfortable. The kitchenette had most... more

This hotel is your typical mediocre place, I was comfortable enough until my stay was disrupted by protesters in the front of the hotel! Evidently there is a workers rights struggle happening right now, so I don't recommend anyone to attend until the management sorts out these issues. I'd recommend asking about the situation before booking! more

The staff was friendly and I was happy with the large, nice, and clean suite but if you want to sleep ask for a room away from the train track. As soon as we turned off the lights we heard a loud growing rumbling noise. The walls began to shake and the noise was overwhelming. Once we heard the horn... more

Although its been 9 months since we we stayed here its worth this report. We stayed here for only one night. My wife and I had just arrived in CA from 3 days on the California Zephyr (Amtrak train) from Chicago. The next morning we were leaving on another Amtrak to go to Yosemite. Its because of its close proximity... more

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for two weeks. Overall it was a pleasant stay, the rooms are clean and equipped with a kitchen area and large bathroom. We liked how the bedroom area was separated by doors, to keep out the cooking smells. There is a nice pool area and small fitness centre, but there is a... more
