Needed a place to stay near the Oakland "StrictlySail" Boat Show at Jack London Square------perfect location! We were upgraded to a 10th floor suite----I had called and requested a Bay side upper level suite after reading all the reviews about the train noise on the east side of the building! Very nice spacious suite, comfortable living room/kitchen. Huge bathroom with... More

Conveniently located near Berkeley, and much better priced than some of the nicer hotels in Berkeley. Clean room, comfortable bed, and complementary full breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausage, cereals, assortment of breads and pastries. Easy drive back to San Francisco airport. Good appearance around Hebrew shopping area. Feels much safer than Oakland area. More

This hotel is now Hyatt House. We chose it based on the location, which was convenient to Berkely, where my daughter works, and Oakland, where she lives. Except for the always-present traffic on 101, it was easy to get around, and even easier after we chose 'no freeways' on our GPS. The hotel was clean and spacious. The staff was... More

We were travelling with my significant other's adult daughter so we picked the Hyatt House because we were able to keep it to one room while still having a seperate bedroom. The rate was very affordable especially considering it included the breakfast buffett. We had the option of paying $30 more a night for a room with a bay view... More

My wife and I were visiting UC Berkeley and the San Francisco area this past weekend and spent 2 nights at the Hyatt House in Emeryville (Hyatt is renaming its Summerfield Suites properties to Hyatt House). The hotel is very conveniently located to the Berkeley and Oakland areas and sits close to the east side of the Bay Bridge. With... More

Stayed here to be near family in Emeryville and to be able to visit UC Berkeley. It's convenient to two shopping centers and multiple restaurants. The king suite is spacious. the temperature (often an issue in hotels, isn't it?) easily adjustable. A full size refrigerator! We were on the second floor and only had a limited view (of the roof),... More

With hotels these days, every last thing seems to cost 5$ here, 10$ there. It exudes a lack of hospitality when I have to pay for things that any personal host would never think of asking for money for - have you ever had to pay money to a friend to use their wireless internet? It's refreshing that here there... More

I've stayed at this hotel twice and found it to be very convenient with close access to the Bay Bridge and SF as well as to Berkeley. We have family in both locations that we were able to reach easily. Also, free parking is a huge advantage! The king suite that we had on both visits was spacious and comfortable.... More

Stayed here at the start (4 nights) and end (2 nights) of a ski trip and they helped us store some of our luggage in between the two stays. Fairly spacious suite with decent kitchenette. Plenty of space in the room to place our 5 huge pieces of luggage (filled with shopping and ski wear). Deco is average, not much... More

Stayed here in two different rooms both on the top floor train side. First night heard the train. Most train horns come from either north of the station or as the train pulls out southbound and the engine is at that end of the train. Possibly staying at the south end of the hotel might help. On our second night... More
