Don't believe all the bad reviews. The inn is under new ownership and also has a new chef. Also remember everyone has their own interpretation and opinions even though they have stayed in the same place. If you are looking for a plush and fancy inn don't stay here. If you want a charming, cozy and romantic atmosphere then this... more

We have stayed at the Harbor House Inn at least 12 times in the past 25 years, most recently in March 2009. The innkeepers have changed, the dining experience has steadily improved (and lately is quite excellent), and the view -- it is one of the most dramatic and breathtaking on the California coast. Make sure you take a walk... more

I honestly felt as though when I booked, they were a bit too keen for me to stay and I might have been right. It was a friday night hence I would have expected the place even at this time of year to be busy, if the food is a ood as they say. The rooms where compact, but clean... more

My husband and I took a week long roadtrip from Seattle to San Francisco. One of our stops was at the Harbor House Inn, and what a place! We were greated by name upon arrival by Linda, who kindly showed us around the main house, gardens, and to our room. We stayed in the Shorepine Cottage, which was fantastic. When... more

After a sweltering summer in many hot places, we happily pulled into the harbor House. God knows where the Harbor is, who cares? This old gem is gorgeous...lovely grounds. We were greeted by a very nice staffer who saw to our every need. Our room was huge, with $900 linens, terry cloth robes, a fire place, and my personal favorite... more

We stayed at the Harbor House Inn on 22nd June 08. We had not pre booked we were just passing. It would have been a good idea to have kept on driving. The only good feature was the room. How can one describe the food ,there was a definite lack of it on your plate and the charge of $65... more

We recently went to Harbor House Restaurant after reading nice reviews on Tripadvisor. Sorry to say that the food served is not worth $65.00 per person for a four course meal. First, they start you off on a Shitake and rice soup which they only served half a bowl and it was a bit watery, next a small bib lettuce... more

We held our wedding at Harbor House and it was incredible. Not only is the surrounding area breathtaking, but the inn itself is absolutely beautiful. The staff was fabulous - and we've never met a friendlier or more capable innkeeper than Jenni!! We rented out the entire inn for 3 days and she took care of all of our guests... more

We stayed at the Harbour House Inn on our way back from a short road trip up the coast of Mendocino and Humbolt County. Our room was called the Lookout, it was a quaint and cozy small room with a beautiful victorian decor. The room has a gas fireplace and bay windows overlooking the ocean and manicured gardens. Our room... more
