I read many negative reviews about the Cedar Lodge but I couldn't find another hotel by Yosemite Park still available for the dates of our trip, so I booked our 2 nights there and kept my expectations very low. Rates are overpriced just like any other hotel around the park. To my surprise our experience was quite good. The drive... More

Great location to explore Yosemite national park. Really efficient check-in adequate restaurant serving typical American fayre. The hotel has a nice pool but for the adventurous cross the very quiet road opposite the hotel and take a dip in the river, great fun.

I stayed here for one night as part of an organised hike in Yosemite. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. We tried to get a drink at the bar but the service was slow and after 10 minutes we went straight to the dining room. The food is pretty basic but hot which is what you need after a... More

Basic, Clean, Overpriced. Nowhere to eat except their lousy overpriced restaurant. You are better off staying in Mariposa (about 20 miles away where you can get the same level of hotel for about half the price). The kicker is they charge $10 per device per night for WiFi. That is just ridiculous

This is my second time visiting and it was as good as I remembered. Our 9 year old loved all the wood carvings and the location is great for Yosemite. We arrived late and they let us check out at noon so we could get more sleep. Very friendly staff and GREAT gift shop. The 9 year old could have... More

This property is located 15 minutes drive from the entrance to Yosemite and is much cheaper. We had a room for 3 and had ample room, comfortable beds and a balcony that over looked part of the forrest. We ate at the bar & grill for dinner and although not flash it is good solud food for the price you... More

We stayed in Cedar lodge during memorial day 2015. The room had two queen beds, refrigerator, coffee maker , television. Basically all you would need for a comfortable stay. Room was extremely clean. The best thing about the hotel was the small grocery store which is adjacent to reception. Its open till late I think till after 10 PM. Please... More

Went here on a family holiday in July and was shocked at the quality. The location was good it was only about 8 miles from the yosemite park entrance. However, it all went downhill from here; the gift shop was over priced, as was the food, there was no free wifi, and the hotel was in a dead zone! the... More

Cedar Lodge is a decent 3 star hotel near Yosemite. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. All the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The only downsides are the staff in the breakfast room are constantly in your face asking to clear your plate the minute you sit down, which was a real pain. The other... More

On the plus side, it is hard to beat the location if you are unable to get a reservation inside the park or if you want to save some money compared to the park lodgings. Also, the staff is very friendly and accommodating. However, this hotel is also the perfect example of what happens when a business has a quasi-monopoly.... More
