Don't be put off by many of the reviews on Trip Advisor, I nearly was but I am glad I wasn't. This is a clean, friendly, great positioned hotel in a beautiful valley alongside a river and 10 min drive from Yosemite National Park. The swimming pools are great and across the road is a shale 'beach' for easy access... More

We stayed in San Fransisco, Sequoia, Death Valley, Las Vegas and LA and this was the cleanest, most efficient and had the best amenities of our whole trip. the room was clean and the bed comfy. the breakfast in the restaurant was excellent value for money with an amazing range of food available and really friendly, helpful staff. Downside was... More

This place had its good and bad points. Good was dinner preceded by a swim in the river, and the views and position. We couldn't understand why the hotel pool was packed when there was such a gorgeous freshwater spot. Breakfast was also good, but the service wasn't so good in the morning. Bad was the room - nasty air... More

We had booked to stay for six nights but left after three as we could not put up with the noisy Air con, depressing dated room, one poor excuse for a pillow(no spare) towels like sand paper! Toilet cistern continuously flowing, live cockroach in bed sheets! We weren't expecting 5* luxury as we are just coming to the end of... More

I stayed in this hotel with my husband in the beginning of August for 2 nights and we were very disappointed with the stay. Overall this hotel is in a good location, just outside the park. The staff we came across were very professional and friendly (particularly in the bar area) so I can't say anything bad about this. Breakfast... More

My Husband and I stayed here in late July 2014. The hotel is 8 miles from the gates of Yosemite and approx 25 minutes from Yosemite Village. The rooms are pretty standard hotel rooms. They are a bit dated and the carpet had stains but the beds were clean and comfortable. The restaurants food and salad bar were both good.... More

We stayed at Cedar Lodge because we were able to get a Junior Suite with kitchenette for a reasonable cost. The hotel is about 20 minute drive from Yosemite gates. The rooms are actually quite gloomy, not helped by the dark, quite dated furniture. However, everything was functional and worked, the air con was effective but a little noisy and... More

Cedar Lodge provides a great place from which to visit Yosemite. The rooms are large, with self-catering facilities. They are clean but basic, and rather scuffed so if you are looking for luxury this is not for you. The staff are great - friendly and helpful - and there is a grocery store on the premises. The restaurant is fine... More

We stayed here as it was the cheapest option to visit Yosemite without a shared bathroom. We didn't realise it was a "resort" until we got there, so we were impressed with the indoor and outdoor pools and arcade area. The room was very spacious and had a nice lodgey aged feel about it. The sink sits outside the bathroom... More

This summer we took a family trip to Yosemite and stayed at the Cedar Lodge. It is a decent place to stay with children and close to the entrance near El Capitan. Ask for a room with a kitchen if you want to save a few dollars. The food on site is OK but the coffee is great at a... More
