If you get the opportunity book or upgrade to a river view room, the view is amazing and the water whilst like rapids you don’t hear a thing once the door is closed. We visited in May 2010 just before the tourism season really started. When we arrived we were told that we couldn’t book in until 3pm and the... More

We enjoyed our big room that included kitchenette, fireplace, balcony and two comfortable chairs with small table. Plenty of counter space in the bathroom too. Downside was the bathroom didn't cool down much (heat wave in Yosemite), and the bath products are weak for almost $200/night. Scratchy toilet paper, tissues and just conditioning shampoo and no-name soaps. Pluses included comfortable... More

We were looking for a place to stay on a recent trip to Yosemite. My wife and I wanted to hike and horseback ride in the park and we started looking to late to stay in the park. We stayed for a week at the Yosemite View Lodge. On the positive side: 1) Rooms are very big, 2) Efficiency kitchen... More

Booked a mountain view room for my son and his friend and a river view room for my wife and I. It should have been called a "spa view room" as our balcony overlooked the spa tubs. Imagine my surprise when I opened up the back door and got a great view of a couple nuzzling up to each other... More

The Yosemite View Lodge is the closest hotel to Yosemite (situated right outside the park). The area itself has little to offer in terms of hotels. So the location is excellent and thats where the positives about end. The hotel is badly in need of modernisation and deep cleaning. It is quite clear that the hotel owners have no desire... More

We spent two nights at the Yosemite View Lodge, as this seemed like the most reasonable accommodation option right on the edge of Yosemite National Park. In fact, it was only a five minute drive on the CA-140 to the Arch Rock Entrance, and about a half-hour drive – through beautiful Yosemite scenery – to the Valley Floor. I had... More

We stayed two nights while visiting Yosemite Park. Yes, the rooms are dated, but to be just outside the park entrance and have a room on/overlooking the Merced River was a fabulous experience, with more sense of connection to the natural beauty than being in a motel room/cabin in Yosemite Valley itself. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet one day--very complete... More

Stayed for 2 nights at the Yosemite View Lodge in Sept 2010. On arrival i thought i'd stepped back in time as it looks very basic when you first pull in. However, once we had walked into our room and out on to the balcony overlooking the river, i was in heaven! This is one of the most beautiful places... More

We stayed here for 3 nights on a recent road trip in the US. The first thing to mention is this hotel isn't actually in the national park, only 1/2 mile outside, but if staying in the park is key, this isn't for you. We had a river view room which I'd recommend stumping up the extra for. It was... More

We first stayed in the Redbud section. The first morning my husband woke up and said something had bitten him at night. He had about six itchy bite marks. He called the front desk. They came and looked at the bed. We requested a new room. We had to pack up all of our stuff for the day in Yosemite.... More
