We stayed here because when we booked all the accommodation in the park was full. It is a 60s motel that has not been much renovated since; the rooms are large but in sore need of a refurb, and our friends had to move when their bathroom flooded in a rather unpleasant way. It has two things going for it:... More

We stayed here August 2013, with our 2 kids for 3 days between Vegas and San Fran (otherwise known as the tourist trail). The is hotel gets all five stars because it was i) easy to find after a very long drive from Vegas ii) cheap (relatively), iii) had breakfast included of real food rather than sugary snacks iv) got... A few ragged edges, but generally a very nice property. Charge for the internet. Indoor pool. About a half hour uphill to Yosemite Village and that requires park entry fee. Be sure to get gas before driving up the winding roads to this out-of-the-way location. Consider bringing chains in the winter.

Stayed for 4 nights while hiking in Yosemite Park. Convenient location near park entrance. Nice clean rooms on the Merced River. Loved sitting outside on the patio listening to the river after hiking all day. Nice to have a kitchenette in the room as there are only a couple of restaurants to choose from. The food at the restaurant on... More

I will add to the review about the "don't get the one with the ice machine at your door". It's room 2058 in dogwood, and we got it. There is a room marked number 6, and it's for hotel employees we think. The smell of weed is overpowering in the hallways (outside mind you), it's worse than a reggae concert.... More

We spent 3 nights here at Oct 8/9/10 2014, this place looks nice and close to the park, but when we get there, they close Rt 140 because of fire. Rt 140 is the only way we can access to the south entrance from this hotel, so we have to take another way drive to the east entrance which took... More

As with other reviewers, we couldn't fault the position of the hotel but they have completely failed to make any sort of attempt to keep the rooms up to date. We had a ground floor room overlooking the river with a little terrace which should have been delightful. However, the decor was very old, there was a musty smell to... More

We stayed here in order to explore Yosemite for three days. The 'hotel' served its purpose for us. We stocked up with provisions in Mariposa on the way in, and self-catered for our stay. No problems. We had a riverside room, the double glazing worked well , so very acceptable noise level. Our room was very well serviced every day... More

A bit rough around the edges but perfectly adequate for a stay in Yosemite. On arrival there were pizza boxes just dumped outside and the lift was temperamental. The rooms were comfortable and the pizzas were nice from the pizzeria. Great base to explore Yosemite from, it takes about half hour to reach the information centre, curry village etc. Don't... More

This was our second stay at the Yosemite View Lodge, the first being last April, the latest being October 22-24, 2014. We knew from our first visit what to expect and had no grand expectations. These accommodations have been expanded and modernized over the years. The older section (Dogwood, where we stayed) did have crappy carpets, no sliding doors to... More
