We made a one night stop at Yosemite View Lodge on our Road Trip around the West Coast. The hotel was in a beautiful location right on the river. In the morning it was raining and the mist coming down the mountains looked spectacular! Rooms were clean, but we did find some ants. Nothing major. Room, Restaurant and surrounding area... More

This hotel is very convienent to Yosemite National Park. Rooms are big with a spa tub and a kitchenette. The bed seems comfortable, we reserved a king. I love the view of the river off the balcony, ask for a room with a river view if at all possible and on the 2nd floor. There is a restaurant on the... More

We stayed here over Valentines Day booked through AMOMA.com at a pretty good deal for a Deluxe room. This larger hotel was only about 1000 ft from the first Yosemite park marker and a few miles to the entrance. This was pretty important, because at night it gets really dark and becomes a difficult drive, but getting to the hotel... More

I visited this hotel in 2011 and recently visited again. It was really interesting to see the ways in which the hotel had been improved/has not been improved in this time. First of all on entering the hotel I could tell the doors of the hotel rooms had been changed and it seems a lot tidier than my previous visit.... More

Two types of rooms-river view and mountain view. The mountain view rooms are less because they don't have a fireplace or a bathtub with jets. They both have a kitchenette and are quite spacious. We had a problem with tiny ants in the bathroom even though it was February. Plan ahead for dining. The main restaurant is quite slow, but... More

Yosemite was great and the setting of the hotel was beautiful-go water view. The staff weren't helpful when asking for info on the park-if your entire business is based on the park you should know something about it. The staff front desk staff sent us away with no answers when we checked for local area info. A problem with management... More

Excellent location, only 2 miles from Yosemite park gate. The lodge was along the Merced river, very pretty. The room is nice and clean, it feels like a studio, with stove and microwave. They also have both indoor and outdoor pool and hot tube. The only downside is the hot tube is too cold. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this lodge,... More

I've stayed in the Yosemite View Lodge several times on business but I would never stay here on a park visit. The rooms are kind of dark and depressing. They're clean, and everything works but I'd rather stay in a rustic cabin than in these rooms. Another thing that makes it less than desirable is that the food in the... More

Stayed here for 3 nights while my husband attended a photography seminar! Great location, beautiful scenery right on the Merced River. We stayed in a King Room on the 3rd floor, on the river-gorgeous views, very clean and remodeled room. The grounds are very clean and the mini grocery store in the lobby comes in handy. The pizza is really... More

The Yosemite View Lodge should change its name to the Spare Parts Lodge. I arrived at 3:00 in the afternoon and was greeted by a stone-faced young woman who went through the rudiments of checking me in with as little eye contact as she could muster. In about 5 minutes I found myself at the door of a room in... More
