Large hotel, excellently located at the gates to Yosemite National Park. It is very pricey, considering that the rooms are old and poorly maintained, the linen hasn't been changed from the seventies and the dining offering are extremely limited. If you're not picky, and only looking for a place to sleep which is closest to the gates, it may work... More

This hotel was in a beautiful location surrounded by stunning scenery. There was a balcony and/or patio to each room depending on what floor you were on. We had two queen beds (which were really queens), small kitchenette area with fridge, coffee pot, sink, and microwave (I think), and a nice large bathroom. There were laundry facilities on-site and two... More

This hotel is literally right outside the west entrance to Yosemite National Park and is the most convenient location to stay outside of the park with easy access to the Yosemite Valley. The rooms were very clean and have kitchenettes in them. It is definitely worth the extra money to get a river view room. After a day in the... More

We have been staying here every winter for the last 5 years. Look for Groupons! Great deal The rooms are very comfortable with a well equipped kitchenette. We like the king bed with pull out queen, because it gives you more space. The decor is outdated, but who cares when the nature around you is beautiful. The drive to Yosemite is... More

Beautiful setting; our spacious apartment with balcony was right on a small rapid-flowing stream with mountain wilderness and birds just beyond. Three fireplaces and (supposedly) a fully-equipped kitchen; two restaurants on site. What could go wrong--well, plenty as it turned out--we had to phone for service or help three times. The apt kitchen had one wine glass and one cereal... More

Hotel staff very helpful. Accommodation was fine, very clean and comfortable. Pools were fine. The only downside were the restaurants. There are two options, a pizza restaurant and another. On the evening we arrived the oven in the pizza restaurant was broken and they only had sandwiches so we went to the restaurant next door. Not surprisingly it was very... More

Loved the location of this hotel, rooms were very spacious and clean, although a little dated. We had mountain view room so we were able to sit outside, watch the wildlife and enjoys the beautiful river views. The small kitchen area was also helpful and the on site restaurant was a bonus. The pizza was fantastic. Only negative was the... More

We have just stayed two nights at the View Lodge. As other reports have said the rooms are a bit dated but we had one overlooking the river at the back and you could just spend all day looking out on the view. We had two sittings of an Ospray diving into the river both mornings about 7:30. It is... More

This hotel has little going for it other than a nice view off the backside of the rooms on the river. And the air conditioner was quiet. That's it. No elevator, very dark and dated rooms and well worn linens. Can't comment on the hotels inside the park, but I'd pay more and take my chances.

Recently stayed for 2 nights and the scenery was amazing. Downside was that room was not ready as check in is 3pm however we were upgraded to the sequoia block and the views were stunning. Great location for yosemite. Staff very helpful. Room very clean and comfortable. Has a restaurant and a pizza hut, pizzas were great. Definitely worth a... More
