Our room had a balcony over looking a mountain stream / river, that sold it for us. We had thought we were paying over the odds but were pleasantly surprised and pleased to be proved wrong. Only niggle was having to pay $9.99 a day for wifi and it was pretty slow.

Just had two nights here, with my partner and our daughter. Check-in was easy, and the reception staff were friendly. We had a river view room- and the view is outstanding! Yes, the rooms are a little dated and could use a little tidy up, but ours was clean and I really didn't care about outdated wallpaper, when I looked... More

Well on arrival, we were very disappointed that we had to pay excessive rates for internet. The family got 3 separate rooms, one of them being extremely disappointing. The television didn't work at all, there was a terrible, indescribable smell that came from the supposedly 'just washed' carpets which resulted in having to change rooms due to the unbearable smell.... For a hotel in/near National Park, It was a very exceptable stay. Great if your also going to the north Yosemite-Tioga Rd and HetchHechy. Nice restaurant and pizza place. Pool might be smell too chlorinated but isn't a bother swimming. Had to pay for WiFi but it worked well. Big plus was the kitchenette and MICROWAVE in the room!!!!!! Gift... More

We stayed here in as part of a West Coast self drive holiday. We traveled from Las Vegas so it was dark when we got there. It made for an interesting (and at times hilarious) drive. The hotel is a short trip to Yosemite National Park; which is a must visit. It was clean, well appointed, with an excellent laundry... More

You're staying at Yosemite River Lodge because either: 1. You could not afford the Ahwahnee hotel. 2. You did not book in time for any of the other places within Yosemite. So you're now at the closest lodging to the entrance of Yosemite. So as everyone always says, it's all about Location, Location, Location. You pay > $200/night in Manhattan,... More

We stayed here two nights while vacationing in Yosemite. The location can't be beat, less than 5 minutes from Yosemite entrance and maybe 20-30 min drive to Yosemite village. The room was nice and clean, beautiful view overlooking the river. Good resturant next door and onsite laundry facilities were a plus. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was... More

We had booked another hotel for our trip to Yosemite, but it was so far from the park entrance that we decided to look around a bit before checking in. After a bit of a long drive in and around the park environs, we came to the Yosemite View in El Portal. They had a kitchenette available for the 5... More

Good location near park entrance, too bad it has not had needed updates and improvements. For the price it should be updated almost yearly. Wallpaper out of date carpet dark and dreary, had a refrigerator but no microwave.

We stayed here for one night while visiting Yosemite to avoid a long drive late at night. From the looks of the hotel on the outside, the lobby, and the staff, we weren't expecting much. Once we got in to our room, we were pleasantly surprised. The room was big, had a small kitchenette, a jetted tub, and a balcony... More
