We spent 2 days and nights in Yosemite and stayed at the Yosemite View Lodge. We were MORE than satisfied. The lodge is right outside the park entrance and very easy to get back and forth to the park. Get a room with a river view the balcony literally perches over the Merced River. Spacious room with a surprise: small... More

Have to echo other reviews, the lodge is in a perfect place however it looks tired and could do with a spruce up. Rooms are large and tidy, we found the cleaning staff very friendly and helpful. We wanted some groceries to use the rooms facilities and found the market in Yosemite valley good value considering although the small market... More

This place does well purely as there isn't much choice so near the entrance to Yosemite (we couldn't afford to stay right in park). The hotel is next to the tumbling Merced river, about 10 mins max from the Arch Rock Entrance - great to sit and enjoy it from our room. The room was adequate, but decor and whole... More

Do not stay here. The lodge is worn-out. ....hundreds of ants coming into bathroom from behind the toilet, worn sheets, pillows, blankets, towels....elevator works reluctantly, old carpet... I thought about where I would start to renovate....short of calling in Chip & Joanna Gaines, I am at a loss to know where to start. I know the travel companies use this... More

Super location, beautiful river views, but could use a little freshening up. Big room, nice deck, but things like rock hard pillows, worn out beds. Friendly staff, great pizza restaurant on site. I would certainly return, but bring my own pillow!

As others have said, this hotel/motel is great for Yosemite. Our room was big, but dark. Why were their limited lights? And, some of the face plates were missing from the electrical sockets. But hay, it's only 110V. The WiFi was not free, and was advertised as being slow! Plenty of pools. The resort was more of a motel though.... More

At just 2 miles from Yosemite, this lodge is booked more for location than comfort. Rooms facing the Merced River make the most of the views but decor seriously dated and both restaurants barely average. This was the only hotel during our stay in the U.S. to charge for wifi.

I had made our reservation six months ago here because I could not get lodging in Yosemite. Before our trip I had read some of the reviews and I was very concerned that I was bringing my family to a horrible place. Well, this place was amazing, extremely clean and the perfect place given it is very close to Yosemite.... More

Given the lack of choices for lodging in Yosemite, I suppose it could have been worse. The lodge is motel-style outside room entry with multiple buildings throughout the property. The Merced river runs immediately behind the property, making for a very nice view from the balcony. Our room was dated but clean (for the most part) with a kitchenette that... More

Yosemite View Lodge is a great place to stay to tour Yosemite park. The staff were polite upon booking in and explained the layout of the lodge very well. The "lodge" is made up of a main reception block with a very expensive mini market, a well stocked gift shop, several accommodation blocks, a restaurant, pizza take out and swimming... More
