Went to yosemite and saw clearly that lodgings in the area and restaurants are Not the attraction. The yosemite park and surroundings were awesome, the views, the mountains, the river, the falls all fabulous but do not go expecting fine dining or spa- like accomodations. This motel was passable as far as clean, kept up, friendliness of staff but the... More

This is by far the creepiest hotel I've ever stayed in, and that's impressive. The place just gave me the chills. It was dirty, frigid, and the room was straight out of 1970. In fact, I'm positive that the bed sheets and mattresses had not been changed since then. The breakfast (at the cafe) was terrible and took forever. I'm... More

Two night stay in January while visiting Yosemite. The lodge is well located near the south entrance. The room was very big with a fully equipped kitchen, two beds and a Jacuzzi. The wifi is not included, it's 10 usd for 24 hours. There is not much around so we ended having dinner both nights at the lodge restaurant which... More

The first room we were given had a bathroom where the toilet was not attached to the floor - there was a gaping hole to the sewage system. They changed us to another room where there was no hot water, the sheets had obviously not been changed (there were long, black hairs and dirt on them) and the pillows were... More

The Yosemite View Loge is located in a fantastic location right along the Merced river, just a few miles from the entry gate to Yosemite National Park. The river is gorgeous, and relaxing to listen to all night. We visited for a mid-winter trip, so there were very few other people, and it was very quiet. Perfect for us! (It... More

It's more than just staying in a hotel. The special location of it, next to an almost river rapids, in a narrow valley with the beautiful surrounding mountains, the clean air, the proximity to Yosemite Nat. Park, the decentralized arrangement of its several buildings ... In so many poor countries, without public safety, a hotel like this would be impossible.... More

No info books in rooms. No flyers or info in lobby. Door doesnt lock properly. Staff unfriendly and unhelpful. Washing machines and dryers faulty. Toaster faulty. Only 1 pillow per person. 3 towels for 4 people. Only 1 device per wifi account. Location is the only positive...

My husband and I used a Groupon to stay here, and I probably would not again. Pros: Best location, right outside the park. I don't think there are any other hotels this close. Also we had a "river view room" which has a deck that faces the Merced river. The view is beautiful and the sound of the rushing river... More

There are very few places to stay near the Hwy 140 entrance to Yosemite and the best located place to say (by far) is the Yosemite View Lodge. This is a sprawling, motel-style accommodation situated right on the Merced River, just 3 miles from the park entrance. We stayed in a family suite (Room 1092). It was very spacious and... More
