A wonderful place to unwind after a long drive on I-5. Very affordable, clean, and beds are comfy! Hoping to stay here for more than just one night during our next road trip - 4 great stays, so far. John and Eric know the best places to eat in town and their suggestions have been right on!

So glad we stopped here. Family owned and operated business. John and Eric are very kind and friendly. The room is very comfortable and cozy. The beds are also very comfortable. All the furniture is wood which is cute. The furnishings are very nice (like you would have in your home). The view is spectacular! The room was very clean.... More

Room 7 was in dire need of refurbishment. Sink badly crazed and did not drain. Could not face using the shower. Curtains, nets & walls in need of a good wash. Only the bed linen and towels really clean. Bed very creaky and uncomfortable.

Your room choice (#7) is an "Economy King" room. These rooms are at a reduced price to try to compete with "cheap motels" that advertise low prices, but are - well, cheap... Had you chosen a "Standard King" or "Renovated King", your sink would not have been 'crazed'. I personally checked the room and the walls seem pretty clean, and... More

Short gorgeous winding-road drive off I-5 to the Dunsmuir Lodge, looking like the motels of my 1960's youth. Pleasant curb appeal, affordable rates, free Wifi. Eric the owner was funny, warm and offered just enough information without overload for a bleary-eyed traveler. Turned room key and found the most un-generic darling motel room: four-poster big pine bed with granny quilt,... More

easy check-in; quiet, peaceful, comfortable. lodge is set up in a U-shape with the two ends (office and maintenance area) on the main street. we stayed in a double suite on the northeast corner, overlooking the river. we love that all the important "stuff" is taken care of (comfortable beds, quiet, bathing facilities), but nothing "fancy" to make us feel... I read a few of the reviews & would just like to comment that you're not going to get the Ramada in a community of 600 people! Come on people give these type of establishments the credit they're due for the effort they put in, The Dunsmuir Lodge was a "we're tired, let's get a room" stop for us &... More

We stopped here because it's in the mountains. Found the owner to be friendly and helpful. Motel is older with no free breakfast. Could probably use some updating. The beds were comfortable. It was super quite and the air is fresh and clear. Not your corporate establishment.

I stayed here because I needed a place to stay driving to LA. I arrived at about midnight and had to ring the buzzer to get someone to come to the desk, out pops this older guy who was not exactly happy to have my business. After apologizing to him about the hour I went into my room. The room... More

I always check Trip Advisor before booking lodging or anything for that matter....trusted you all on this one. Well, here is my review: i thought this is the perfect location to stop on our way back to Oregon. We have a Basset Hound - who is an awesome, quiet dog who is cleaner than most people, DOG friendly, great! The... More

As one of the owners I would like to respond, 1- we have 4 rooms at a lower rate of $59.00 plus tax. One would need to make a reservation to hold at that price. 2- We review the heater setup with everyone who checks in, if you have a problem please call the office. 3- We do charge $10.00... More

These guys are great. I stayed here 2 years ago and again needed help from these folks even though I was not staying there this time. They were most accommodating and helpful. They allowed me to leave my car with them for an extended time while I went on a hike of the Pacific Crest Trail, for a very nominal... More
