I usually don't depend on user reviews especially the one allegedly saying Downey is a dangerous area? Really? If Downey is so dangerous, stay out of Los Angeles! LOL Anyways, we reserved the hotel literally at the last minute. Location is near alot of restaurants and near to a CVS and a Walgreen's. It's between I-5 and I-710 about 10... more

I spent 2 nights at the Embassy Suites in Downey and was very pleasantly surprised. The TA reviews were mixed - these must be divided into pre-renovation and post. The hotel is built around an atrium - a design that has plusses and minuses. The minus is mainly that sound carries throught the hotel. The plus is that a well... more

We stayed three nights here and had a good stay. The hotel is a typical Embassy Suites property which works well for us. The breakfast was good. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. Free internet was not provided and would have been nice. more

I stayed 2 days on business and will never stay here again. The first night I arrived very late. The AC would blow only "neutral air". So, I sweated all night in my sleep. The next day after a hard day at the office I returned to the balmy room again. This time I called the front desk. They offered... more

The staff was the friendliest I've ever come across and the food and room service were also excellent. No problems here, and close to work location. more

I would never stay at this hotel. I stayed there over the weekend and had my car broken into in the parking lot and the hotel did not do anything for me. All I asked of them was to give me a break on my rooom rate for the inconvience and they said they are not responsible for damages in... more

This hotel is very nice… from the moment we arrived, we received wonderful customer service. Our room was newly remodeled and it has a nice new modern look. All rooms have a balcony to the outside and we loved the enclosed garden inside the hotel. Breakfast was more than I expected, served to order and with a great selection. At... more

The Embassy Suites – Downey is long in the tooth and due for a remodel. If I have learned nothing from my 6 years as a road warrior it is when a property is undergoing a renovation stay away! I should have known from the time I made the reservation. I needed a two night stay, but was only was... more

Booked a single week night. Checkin at 3:30pm, no problem, was assigned a corner non smoking room. Lobby and atrium look nice, once you got to the elevator, you can tell this place is a little run down. The room was older looking, kinda like when the place first opened and never been remodeled. I could tell the mini fridge... more

Pleasantly surprised. Long time Embassy Suites customer stayed here for 2 nights and were not disappointed. Check in staff were prompt and very helpful, even providing extra tooth brushes that I forgot to pack. Room was recently renovated, very clean and we had a quiet stay. Breakfast was on par with Embassy Standards. We are planning on using this property... more
