We checked in today and really enjoyed the grotto. It's smaller than we thought and was a bit crowded, but quite relaxing. The room is nice and the bed and pillows excellent. Dinner tonight was underwhelming. It started with the service. We were seated and given menus, only to wait 15 minutes without seeing our server. Finally we asked someone... More

We booked a solstice suite for a 2 night stay, our first visit to the property. First let me say the grounds are for the most part beautiful and peaceful. Our suite had a lovely private backyard with hammock under a large orange tree. The interior was modern and clean with a large shower area and modern lighting. We visited... More

I have stayed here several times over the past ten years, and there isn't anything better when you're stressed out or need a quiet relaxing break from the crazy LA or OC lifestyle. Taking a dip in the hot spring pools, getting a massage and sunbathing nude in one of the private units is just what you need to unwind.... More

We've been going to Two Bunch Palms for over twenty years. It was a magical place. But the new owners and their mismanagement have destroyed the magic. Our 4-night stay from 2/22 - 2/26/15 was appalling. It was the worst experience we've ever had at a hotel or resort. There are some kind and sympathetic employees, but overall the staff... More

Our stay was very relaxing. Nice. The rooms and bathroom were beautiful. The hot pool/sauna was constantly turn to extreme hot. Could not enjoy it. They could use some new pool noodles/floats(everyone seem to like using them but they were in need of replacing) The pool was awesome to relax in. The restaurant is decorated very nice and food was... More

We're sorry that you did not receive the attention your deserve as our guests and we are addressing this with the spa. There are new pool noodles and floats and we are monitoring the temperature of the hot pool. Please come back soon. More

You will be over dressed if you are not walking around in your hotel robe! This place is truly unique and special. "Quiet" signs set the mood for relaxing stay, and unlike other reviewers, everyone during our stay was very respectful. The Grotto was wonderful and very clean. The restaurant is beautifully renovated (contemporary and arty) and food/service was excellent.... More

So glad you loved the experience. The spa and the vintage rooms are definitely next on the list for renovation. Although once you have a treatment, our 75 year old bohemian spa rooms are not even a factor. And the muds are one of the favorites. Looking forward to your next visit! More

TBP is supposedly one of the most upscale spas in the area - this is disputable. I must mention the infestation of cockroaches in the "Grotto" area - nasty and totally disgusting! In addition, these hot springs in the grotto can barely be called meditative - many people use the area for loud and disruptive discussions - even in full... More

In a previous response, we explained that as a natural habitat ad aquifer that has been around for 600 years, the presence of American cockroaches or 'water bugs' is to be expected. Except for these last two comments, we have not had issues with 'infestation' of these creatures (not to be confused with German cockroaches that are present in buildings).... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at Two Bunch Palms during Good Friday through Easter day. Initially, I was excited and was thinking I'd reserve a room for my parents' upcoming anniversary as well. It was beautiful, and the staff was friendly. The first night, however, he had noticed a few cockroaches near the mineral pools but didn't say anything because... More

Our stone Grotto is a natural aquifer surrounded by natural vegetation that has been around for more than 600 years. As a natural habitat, this oasis tends to welcome several insects and bugs like the American cockroaches (not to be confused with the German cockroaches that live widely in human buildings if proper steps are not taken). The American cockroaches... More

As a multi-decade Two Bunch Palms visitor, I've seen many changes in people, programs, rooms, food, etc. There are and have been issues with _everything_ over many visits, but never over the beautiful setting, the tranquil grounds, the lagoon with its turtles and carp, and most of all the lovely grotto, where it is possible to spend an entire day... Thank you for keeping an open mind. We constantly remind our guests to keep their chatter and voices down. In the next phase of our renovation, we hope to create another grotto that would allow guests to be more social and keep the original one in its meditative state. More

Two Bunch was a great pick. The place was relaxing and the grotto was great. Service was wonderful as was the food and drink. The only drawback was our room was very small and had no drawers for unpacking. Otherwise, it was a great place to stay. I would go again!
