We went there with my family, along with my parents, my brother and sister, and their families. There was 14 of us total, 6 of us children. This stay was amazing! The staff was very friendly, especially the valet. The rooms were very clean, and I loved the style of the rooms and bathrooms. We loved the view and walking... more

We spent a fun 3 nightsat L'Auberge in March. The hotel has been stylishly redone in the last year or so----any reviews prior to the renovation are probably not of much value. The central feature of L'Auberge is the attractive lobby and the central courtyards opening out from the lobby. The lobby doors are generally open and flow out into... more

room was O.K. if pricey... service was good. Restaurants in hotel again pricey good quality. If you're planning to go to the beach.... it's a hike. Parking is a nusiance but at least they have some. The gym is not a real gym. its a tad above minimal with mirrors to make it look bigger. Very nice grounds to pose... more

This hotel is in a great location in Del Mar, not quite at the beach but a short pathway leads down to the beach. All public spaces are well maintained and attractive. Lobby and bar areas (indoor and outdoor) are really good as is the pool area. The 2 restaurants serve slightly different food, the outdoor patio is great to... more

This place was horrible. They try and rank it as an upscale resort competing with places like The Montage, Pelican Hill, etc and it doesn't even come close, although the prices are similar. What a joke. Their remodel was horrible, you could tell it was done quickly and cheaply, poor painting, no tub in any of the rooms, cramped, the... more

Beautifully renovated recently. Outstanding restaurant. Great central common area by the pool, bar and with a sunset view. Little irritations: not sure where the quiet rooms are if some face the pool bar area, some face the loading dock, and some face the street. Many views of ocean, but may just be a peek when you stand on the patio... more

My wife and I stayed at L’Auberge Mar 13-16 and had a fantastic time! The valet attendants were friendly and quick; the receptionists were wonderfully pleasant and treated us like friends; and the bellhop was great and offered superb advice on local dining. Our king deluxe room was quite comfortable with a small patio that overlooked the main courtyard, and,... more

I stayed here for business. It's definitely not a business hotel -- they said "just you?" when I checked in (I've never had an in-city Hyatt say that...I usually have to ask for two keys). Keep in mind that this review is from the perspective of a business traveler--a leisure traveler might have a different perspective. Check-in was efficient. The... more

Beautiful hotel, gorgeous views and great service. Stayed for a weekend. We live in San Diego, so it was more of a staycation for us. We took a surf lesson (the hotel's concierge set us up), tried out a few of the great restaurants in the area (KITCHEN 1540 at the hotel, Pacifica across the street, En Fuego for Mexican... more

Kitchen 1540 was a great experience. Great room, very airy and modern. Service great. Some eclectic stuff like grilled octopus salad was great. Elk was excellent. Standard salmon was cooked to perfection. Beet salad was great too. Decent wine list. Desserts were a little off. Would go back anytime, I'm local so I plan on it. more
