We stayed at Les Artiste New Years weekend 2015. The grounds were really relaxing with all the little public seating areas. The main entrance has a huge fireplace that was really nice. We stayed in the Zen room and it had it's own little patio with a relaxing waterfall. The only negative comment I have is that the Zen room... More

I give very good to this Inn because for the price you can not find an equivalent in the area. Forget the view if you don't want to pay the high price (the upper rooms may have a peak view of the sea). "Les artistes" is the typical bed and breakfast you find in Europe without the breakfast but with... More

We read the reviews on Trip Advisor for this hotel, and although some had issues noted, we found that uniqueness surfaced throughout most of what was reported. For travelers that like chain hotels with standardized rooms and procedures, this might not work. I would classify this hotel as an artsy boutique hotel with few frills. We called early to reserve... We usually take an "End of Summer" trip with our dog to Del Mar at the beginning of September. We often walked by this hotel when staying down the road and it always looked interesting, but thought it looked like they probably would not take dogs. Last year we went in and inquired and the owner said yes they do... More

Each room is designed in the theme of a different artist. We stayed in the Japanese Zen room. The rooms are very tastefully decorated, some with small enclosed patios, others with a balcony. I had some difficulties communicating with the manager making the reservation, first on the phone, then by email. We wanted to stay at Les Artistes because it... More

Stayed here for the last 2 nights of our honeymoon, wanting something different with a bit of extra comfort. This place was the most expensive motel we stayed in so we were expecting great things. However, it was probably the worst hotel we had for the whole trip. I could see what they were trying to do with the different... More

Tried numerous times to book a weekend, and kept getting the run around. Seems this hotel is not in the business to book rooms, or know anything about customer service. The "Asian" lady argued with me on the phone insisting it was my fault she couldn't book, as well as told me I should look somewhere else for a room.... More

My husband and I had plans to stay at Les Artistes for a Saturday night getaway. A few days before our trip, however, our dog was viciously attacked by another dog and we could not board her as planned. When I tried to call the hotel to see if they could work with me to reschedule for another night, I... More

People have either loved or hated this hotel-there are not many in between. I think that is telling. Not to dis the 'haters' but you really have to know what kind of person you are before you stay some place like this. It's not the Hilton or Motel 6. If that is your expectation you will be disappointed. It is... More

We spent two nights at Les Artistes in January, 2014. It's not a bad place, but it's not wonderful, either. They decorated each room in the style of a different artist but the place needs a makeover - it's getting a bit old. No major complaints - the room was okay but could have used a good cleaning - much... More
