We stayed one night on a Coast One road trip, and thought it was just fine. I don't understand all the negative reviews. Our room was spotlessly clean, with thick towels and bathrobes, a comfy bed, partial ocean view, and locally made toiletries. No TV and spotty wi-fi, but come on, folks, you're on vacation! Be here now! Since it... More

This was by far the worst hotel my boyfriend and I have ever stayed in. We stayed in the Rio Del Mar room (after an unsuccessful attempt to book one of the suites). It was absolutely horrible. The dingy berber carpet was ripped and totally filthy. The bathroom looked like it had never been properly cleaned. The room's window opened... More

I wouldn't change a thing! Though bo tv in the room there is plenty to do around this tiny location. The food is awesome and the service top of the line. Quaint and rustic rooms with a homey feel. Most amazing bed ever! Don't skip crossing the road to see the view from the bluffs!

We stayed here about half way through our 16 day Pacific Coast road trip. This was my favorite place to stay. The charm and furnishings were top. We stayed in a smaller room, which was fine. The owners have made the rooms very comfortable with wonderful linens and nice pillows. The restaurant downstairs offered a great dining experience. There was... More

We were leaving Ano Nuevo State Park after visiting the seals and were looking for a good place for a meal. The park ranger recommended this place and we are glad she did. The food was tasty and fresh and the service excellent. The place is very clean. I understand that this is also an inn, but we were already... More

We stayed here because my husband LOVED the setting and ocean view. We though it would be a nice romantic evening. Overall the setting is nice but the inn/hotel is just dated. The bed was comfortable but the number of minor details that needed updating was numerous. The worst part was the bathroom. Moldy and dated, the shower pressure left... More

Our room was clean and the decor was charming. The room had french doors that opened onto the veranda overlooking the Pacific. It wasn't easy to figure out where to check in (at the downstairs restaurant counter) but we loved our room and it was a good value!

I really picked this lace because of location. Just the right distance from my starting point in Monterey and San Francisco, my destination. Room was clean and basic. Comfortable bed. Exactly as advertised. No Tv, but other rooms offer TV's and a better view if desired. I rate it "very good" as it was what I expected. Food in the... More

Had lunch here with a friend in April 2014. Service was friendly but very slow, even though the place was mostly empty. I ordered one of their "specials of the day" as described on the chalkboard next to the door. I talked to the waitress before ordering to confirm that they did, indeed, have that special still available. What she... More

Near the beach? Yes Old and unique? Yes The suite, Bonny Doon, was said to be quite spacious and comfortable with a private bath. Yes, the rooms were big but I was never sure if the bath was private or not as the Front Desk never called to let me know after we asked at check in and were told... More
