The Davenport Roadhouse is situated on a hill, just across the street from a partial ocean view. It has quaint accommodations, no tv, and a wallboard heater. The bed was comfortable, and it was quiet. Definitely NOT a Marriott or Hilton. If you are looking for luxury, you need to look elsewhere. It was comfortable, quiet, and had beautifully scented... The Good: We found the Daveport Inn very quaint - and enjoyed the hospitality of the owner (Helmut), and the the overall charm of the Inn. The live music (on the restaurant schedule) was very good - as well as the location of the Inn itself (the only hotel in Davenport) - are all pluses. There was a very unique... More

I like this place, and keep returning. Across the Coast Highway from a lovely crescent beach beneath the cliffs, with crashing waves and salt in the air, the Roadhouse has a fantastic restaurant on the street level, and various sized rooms above (with ocean views!) As these require climbing the stairway from the parking lot, the adjoining cottages are a... More

This hotel is great, especially if you are open to something different. They give you really nice little touches. Truly handmade things as gifts (granola and lavendar soap). Really good coffee. They thought of all the things that I would want. We stayed in a small room around the back because of our budget and booking last minute, but it... More

My cousin booked a room here for 1 night. We were on our way to Big Sur and this was in a perfect location, close to other things we wanted to see. There are only a few rooms and the rooms are above the restaurant. We had a room with 2 twin beds. The bed was very comfortable. The room... More

I thought this hotel was nice. It was clean. The bathroom was big and the people were very nice. We stayed here one night in the pelican room. I have no complaints. We had breakfast downstairs and it was delicious. Nothing wrong there at all. Right across the street is a really nice beach you should def check out. And... More

I was in the middle of moving from Seattle to Dallas and we decided to take 101 and 1 all down the coast to enjoy its beauty. My boyfriend was not feeling well so as we came upon the Inn around 10 PM we inquired rates so we could get off the road for the night. It was odd to... More

We stayed one night on a Coast One road trip, and thought it was just fine. I don't understand all the negative reviews. Our room was spotlessly clean, with thick towels and bathrobes, a comfy bed, partial ocean view, and locally made toiletries. No TV and spotty wi-fi, but come on, folks, you're on vacation! Be here now! Since it... More

This was by far the worst hotel my boyfriend and I have ever stayed in. We stayed in the Rio Del Mar room (after an unsuccessful attempt to book one of the suites). It was absolutely horrible. The dingy berber carpet was ripped and totally filthy. The bathroom looked like it had never been properly cleaned. The room's window opened... More

I wouldn't change a thing! Though bo tv in the room there is plenty to do around this tiny location. The food is awesome and the service top of the line. Quaint and rustic rooms with a homey feel. Most amazing bed ever! Don't skip crossing the road to see the view from the bluffs!
