Service problems with this Laguna Cliffs Marriot, had numerous bad service in Restaurants and pool area. Management does not act concerned that you have had a bad experience and did not follow up on a major problem with our room. Younger kids with little experience are waiting on you most of the time. Valet however was very efficient and fast.... more

Stayed here for a week while on business and brought my boyfriend, recently. The rooms were very nice -- not overly modern, but nice and clean (except for the occasional hair left behind by the maids - when will hotels have maids start wearing hairnets?). We stayed in a room on the ground floor and I was worried about the... more

I recently stayed at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott and booked 2 rooms for my daughter's 16th birthday. We found the hotel beautiful, clean, and the staff very friendly. It is not a typical looking Marriott, more of a cottage style; which I enjoyed. We asked for an early check-in and was able to check in by 12:00 noon. I'm an... more

Wow, Yes, I was a bit hesitant with the Marriott brand. My wife pointed out as we pulled up, that she had stayed here in 1989. So I was a bit sceptical about the age and potential quality. We own at the Signature MGM and stay mostly Starwood prefered. But I must say that I have NEVER had a better,... more

Overpriced, not particularly well located, and just not that nice. I can't think of any reason to return. We stayed here for one evening at the end of a very exhausting trip for friends' weddings and family obligations. It was our wedding anniversary, and my husband (who has silver level status) booked a room with points and told them it... more

My boyfriend and I wanted to stay in a nicer part of California while we were visiting his home state. We chose Laguna Cliffs Marriott based not only on the location, but on the Marriott website's photogallery and reviews. Upon arriving we were completely shocked to find that we had to pay for parking (about $24 a night) while locals... more

The service at this hotel is awesome! My daughter got married this weekend in San Juan Capistrano and we used the hotel as our home base for the wedding party and preparation. The hotel staff was incredibly helpful, friendly and accommodating. The grounds are beautiful and the view is gorgeous. A special warm thank you to Tiffany at the front... more

I had a king room that overlooked the pool and the ocean in the distance. The room was perfectly fine. The hotel wasn’t exactly walking distance to anything but nothing in California is. I did walk down to the marina one night and it wasn’t that far. The service on the deck left a little to be desired in terms... more

What a fantastic location! There are smashing ocean views from most rooms. The hotel itself has lovely architecture and reminds me of a New England resort. The hotel rooms are oversized, and most rooms have a balcony with Ocean views. The bedding is updated, with pillow top beds and clean crisp duvets. However, the bathrooms are outdated with the same... more
