I booked this hotel for my parents for it's amazing views and location. My parents are in their 80's, so I was very specific about what i wanted: a room near the elevator, a balcony and ocean view. My confirmation receipt confirmed this. My parents arrived to be given a room way at the end of a hallway, no balcony... more

My husband and I spent the weekend at this resort to celebrate our anniversary. Every single staff member we came in to contact with was friendly and attentive. The hotel is under renovation, but we were not disturbed in any way by the renovation. The breakfast buffet in the VUE restaurant was delicious and offered a wide variety of breakfast... more

I'm not sure if this resort is tailored for bringing your kids, but it was mayhem around every turn with little kids running, screaming, and crying everywhere. Don't get me wrong, the hotel itself is very clean, the pools & spa are nice, and the service staff is surprisingly helpful and polite. The location is actually up on a hill,... more

I have to say that Laguna Cliffs Marriott is hands-down one of the best Marriott resorts at which I have stayed when it comes to superior customer service and a fantastic and helpful staff. I have been a platinum member with Marriott hotels for the past four years, and I have definitely seen my fair share of Marriott properties. While... more

We stayed three nights at this property. The hotel needs some updating, the rooms were ok, but not great, although they were clean. The staff was very attentive and helpful. But, the best thing was the location. The grounds are very well maintained and the flowers are beautiful. There is plenty of green space and a lovely view of the... more

we like to stay here for the blues fest as the location is perfect. while other hotels are also within walking distance, the beauty of the marriot can't be beat. its the classical cali hotel on the cliff overlooking the harbor. an easy walk to restaruants. the staff is wonderful more

Stayed here for a quick weekend trip. Nice average rooms with thin walls. I have a thing about thin walls and this one has them. Overall a very nice hotel. Music selection in the common areas is horrible. Led Zepplin while having a nice lunch on the patio is not for me. Very Friendly and helpful staff. At the pool... more

WE stayed here for two nights to celebrate a special Birthday. Upon arrival we were upgraded with our room to a pool view, and a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries were delivered to our room. The room itself was charming. The best staff, efficient and extremely helpful. Grounds and pool are clean and groomed. The servers in the... more

We had a good rate here through Priceline which helped us absorb the additional very expensive 24 dollar a night self parking charge. We noticed that a number of guests just parked their vehicle on the street outside the hotel for free. The hotel is situated on a cliff overlooking a marina and a very disappointing beach Do not stay... more

We wanted to be close to Laguna Beach CA, area, and I've always liked Marriotts so we chose this resort. The hotel location is in Dana Point, a short drive to Laguna Beach CA. Not much nearby, a small shopping village across the street which is average. This hotel caters to conventions/weddings, so there are many large meeting rooms. The... more
