First of all, I was attending a conference that I really didn't feel like attending, due to the economy and too overworked. I flew into John Wayne, had problems with my rental car, and finally headed 25 minutes away to the Doubletree in Dana Point, CA. When I pulled into Valet I was greeted by the friendliest surf-boy attendants, who... more

We went to this hotel for a quick Spring Break vacation for two days with our two young children. The front desk staff was very nice. I tried to check in a little early but they offered me an ocean view if I could wait until closer to 4 pm so I took them up on their offer. We did... more

My toddler and I joined my husband on a business trip to orange county and his company placed us at the Doubletree Dana Point. The company provided free self parking and a free complimentary breakfast (for him only of course). The parking is normally $22 per day and the breakfast (cold) $10, so if we were to stay on a... more

Staff was very nice. The room was clean. The big draw back for us was the constant noise from the central fan. The hotel is in between two major highways. Road noise was a problem too. The room rate was high, then had to pay for parking. No free wireless. No free breakfast or just coffee. more

GOOD: Booked thru the HiltonHonors website. Front Desk staff was extremely friendly, helpful! Room had great view of Sunset and Doheny beach! 4th floor maid was very helpful and helped my wife carry cooler of ice back to our room Not So GOOD: Extremely thin walls! Heard our neighbors coughing and conversation like they were in our room! He coughed... more

Not a perfect location. Between the North and South Bound Lanes of PCH. A little bit tricky to find the Hotel. But that`s the only thing I can complain about. Front Desk Staff was very friendly and the check in was quick and efficiant. The Room was spacious, more like a little suite with seperate bed and living room. The... more

Booked 2 rooms for 2 nights here for 4th of July weekend. Each room was 325.00 per night since it was a hoilday. The hotel was busy and loud since it was 4th of July, people were partying and enjoying the fireworks. When we checked out on the 6th of July the front desk told us that they were charging... more

We stayed at this hotel last week and thought it was just awesome. The hotel itself is very quaint and romantic. It is very clean and extremely well maintained for a oceanview property. Our room had a good view of the ocean with a sitting area ideally placed to enjoy it. I would definitely request an oceanview room here again.... more

Just returned...nice room, friendly staff..BUT the extra $$ for the "ocean view" was questionable. We saw trees, a campground and a tide pool w/ very little ocean. The charge($22 a night!) for parking our car was not disclosed and not appreciated. It was also very noisy from the streets surrounding it. They were resurfacing the driveway which made it inconvient... more
