Stayed at the St Regis Monarch Beach Aug 27 & 28, 2007 to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. Very good service and plenty of it to go around. After check-in there were two people waiting to direct us to our room. Room service arrived with breakfast at 7:45am on the button as requested. The room was beautiful and in perfect... More

Wow! I did not think it was possible to receive such poor service. After we were excited to get an early check in (we went for two queens vs. a king and there was early availability) things deteriorated rapidly after our first day (saturday). After a miserable dinner at the hotel's beach restaurant (tasteless food, except for a delicious cobbler... More

I don't know if this happens to everyone but our experience with service was definitely below average for such an expensive resort. The first day was great - we received complimentary cookies, juices and water as a welcome along with turndown service that evening. That was the last time we had turndown or afternoon maid service. On our last day... More

My husband, myself and 2 children age 7 and 9 stayed at this hotel in August and loved the property. We payed $500 per night for a pool view room however I think any room/view would have been nice. The rooms are spacious, clean, and regal. Good size bathroom, spacious tub and seperate shower. One of the things I really... More

Excellent stay. Travelled with a 7 month old and a 4 year old. Hotel is family friendly, but not 'over-run' by families. Rooms are big enough to spend an evening in, and the garden view room we had on the ground floor opened up onto the lawn, with a small patio. Great private beach - which you can walk to.... More

I'm a Starwood preferred member and have had great experiences with all my stays. Although the grounds are beautiful, the hotel still had that "Conference" hotel feel and the bed was not at all what I expected. There was definitely NO pillow top! I was there two nights and didn't complain, although I really should have. Other than that the... More

Overview: With StRMB, StR starts to glimpse the promised service and glory of the brand, leaving behind the previous St Regis rap: "4Seasons prices, Sheraton Service" Staff: Everyone was most attentive, from the bellman to the tram driver to the beach. There is a disconnect between the switchboard and the rest of the hotel. The operators can be a little... More

We had a fantastic stay at this property and enjoyed the pool, grounds and beach. We didn't golf or use the spa. We had several really outstanding meals and basic room service. The property and grounds are beautiful. Our experience with the tram to the beach was pretty good but we used it at off peak hours. The food at... More

-Hotel has beautiful views and a nice golf course. -Restaurant food is very good at the main hotel, but the restaurant you have to drive to on the beach is a disaster. $400 for dinner and it might as well have been the Outback Steakhouse. I had to send my meal back. It was inedible. They only offered to give... More

We recently returned from a two night stay at this five star resort and we felt it lived up to its rating! I booked the room through the hotel website for around $500 a night. (View rooms on higher floors are at least a couple hundred more - we opted for the lesser price as we were there for only... More
