Stayed here for 5 nights, had two rooms side by side. The hotel is like an old motor inn with exterior doors for every room, a parking space (all free) in front of the rooms, and it's on a hill. Rooms were very no-frills, but did have a fridge + microwave which was helpful. They looked quite clean in my... More

Hi VTeight7, Thank you for your review. We are in the process of revamping our breakfast this month, giving our guests some refreshing alternatives and raising the bar on the complementary breakfast Xperience. Please come back soon! Yours in Hospitality, Kyle Melton Xperience Manager More

Based on the reviews of this motel, I thought I would take my chances. I stayed here for one night in February 2015. The check in process was fine- pretty standard and easy. It was great to have a place that had free wifi, free breakfast and free parking. Though- looking at my bill, I think that was all included... More

Hi Sarah, I'm sorry that we could not meet your expectations. I can vouch that, having worked downtown, our hotel beats most anything else you can find when looking for a quiet night's sleep -- you can imagine the car horns and sirens downtown aren't the most conducive to getting REM. Typically the loudest noise around here are the songbirds!... More

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the room and the furnishings, as well as the great view down the hill to the inland bay. The motel is situated above the COW Palace in Daly City with a Bart station about 1.5 miles away up Geneva Street. The flat screen T.V. was large and premium channels were free. The... More

Hi Dave, It's true that S.F. hotel prices jump up and down like penny stocks depending on the many festivals and conventions that dot our events calendars. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay -- please come back soon! Kyle Melton Xperience Manager More

I needed a place for the night. This more than met my expectations. Close to san francisco. Nice big restroom. The check in associate was very helpful and showed me on a map some of the sites to check out in san francisco.

I had a bad feeling the minute we drove up to this place. I wanted to leave but we only needed to sleep for a few hours before our plane took off. The surrounding neighborhood is dirty and feels unsafe. The room smelled musty and moldy. In fact there was mold in the shower. There is mismatched furniture, and not in... More

Hi Amber, Our hotel is tucked away in a residential neighborhood that doesn't have the boutiques or restaurants which people usually associate with their mental picture of San Francisco. Maybe it's a little hyperbolic to call it dirty? Anyway, I wish you'd reached out to me or any member of our team to try to make you more comfortable during... More

Alpine Inn was clean, quiet, welcoming, and a good value. It would be a good base for exploring the San Francisco area outside of commute hours. Good simple, satisfying breakfast. Convenient freeway and airport access.

We stayed here on our 2nd night in San Francisco, and it was an excellent experience. It was cheaper than the run down place we stayed at the night before. As soon as we were greated by their employee we knew it was better than expected, she was very friendly and informative. The rooms look like little cottages. You can... More

Excellent customer service, delicious coffee compared to other hotels (Starbucks in the lobby and Wolfgang Puck for the room percolator), very beautiful little bungalows that were SO QUIET - great night of sleep, even for someone who sleeps late like me (usually I always get woken up by the cleaners, or the people in the room next door, but that... First of all, it's not that easy to find. The sign is not very visible if you're driving down Carter eastbound towards Geneva. The motel is tucked away and built into a hill so parking is a bit scary. The young woman at the desk, Jennifer, was very helpful. We had a very hard time making the card key work... More

If you're looking for a five star, keep looking. But if you want a quiet, trendy and decent little place that reflects the old motor courts of the 30's and 40's? I dare you to find a place to stay in San Francisco that's as relaxing, neat, clean like this place and that doesn't cost a lot of money. The... More

Hi Harry, Thank ypu for your review. Trying to catch that sunrise over the SF bay is what gets me to work early every morning, and it's something I never experienced until I broke away from working in that glut of downtown hotels. Now I wonder if anything could ever drag me back, because I can tell from the look... More
