Should not had made reservations in the first place. On their hotel write-up, there would be no fee if cancellation was made 48 hours in advance. I had to cancel my trip to SF due to a family emergency. I finally got in touch with someone over the phone 2 & 1/2 days before my trip. The lady on the... More

This wasn't going to be a negative report but the attitude of the owner prompts these comments. Our stay was for 4 nights. We tried to check in mid evening but reception was locked. It was at least 10 minutes of ringing the bell tbefore someone arrived. After booking in, we asked if, on our day of departure, that we... More

I was working in San Francisco and I stayed here 4 nights. The room was really small and included a small round table with two chairs, double bed, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, hanging clothes area, and TV and drawer space. Just enough room to walk around the bed. The place was clean. It is pretty noisy here though. It is... More

We stayed there to be close to Daly City and not pay the high prices of the area. It is an old building, just functional. It's dry and has heat...even in the summer: the gas heater's pilot was lit and made a flickering, popping noise all night, and it actually seemed to make the room hot. Keeping a window open... More

This motel has a very low customer service and not meeting quality standards as well misleading their product offer. This motel DOES NOT have AIR CONDITIONING resulting in sticky warm rooms. People left their door open to cool down and refresh their room. What was really a shame was that the bed sheets were old showing dirty sports and they... More

We stayed in El Camino Inn as it was the cheapest place we could find with decent enough travel links to the centre of San Francisco. The BART station takes you directly to the centre of SF and is about 5 minutes walk away from the motel. The motel itself is in a bit of an inconvenient location as there... More

We stayed here a couple of days ago and enjoyed our stay. It's not the most spacious and nicest looking hotel, but it was clean and quiet, and really close to the Colma BART station. San Fran is only a short drive away as well if you choose to take your car. Our room only had shower (no bath) but... More

- affordable - close to Bart easy to get to SF - friendly staff -tiny cafe with complimentary coffee and Danish - rooms are small but tidy - ants are visible but not excessive - my lamp and phone didn't work- I didn't complain but it was at times annoying Essentially this was a basic and quaint place where the... This is an older hotel that has been updated somewhat. The front desk lady was pleasant. Room was small but adequate. It appeared to be clean but we found tiny ants throughout. Breakfast was low end basic. There was shouting and police activity in the parking lot one night during our visit but not sure if this is common, we... More

i had some fears about staying here, due to the price and location, being outside the main city. i have to say that this was a very enjoyable place to stay. if you are into true history of the old motor hotels, this is a great place to stay. there are so many original details in great shape making this...
