Spent one night there on a last minute trip. I emailed as I boarded my flight and negotiated about 10% off the published prices - which was great. But I found the Culver 'too cute' in some ways. Most staff were nice, but the waiter at the so-so breakfast was all "dude" and "bro" and shaking my hand. Turns out... More

The hotel is located in a more quiet part of LA. Short distance to everything. Buses across the street, 300 m to expo-line. Easy access to what ever the city has to offer. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful, easy to talk to and serviceminded. The room was exceptionally good, romantic, clean and perfectly airconditioned. The hotel restaurant offers breakfast... More

When you come back and experience our dinner fare, you will be astounded by what goes on. Live Music, 7 days a week. Salsa on Sunday, Swing on Wednesday, Jazz the rest of the way. Great local crowd that fills the place and expands onto the patio. See you soon. Seth Horowitz General Manager The Culver Hotel. More

This is an old hotel, that's been updated and well maintained. And it was the home to the Munchkins! But the real find is the Quiet Speakeasy that is upstairs over the Main Bar, behind a black door. It's a wonderful place for a drink and an appetizer far from the madding crowd below. Charming and a nice surprise at... More

We call it the Velvet Lounge, and now you have blown the secret :) Voted the best bar in Culver City and a great alternative to the action of the Grand Lobby. Seth GM The Culver Hotel More

The Culver Hotel has a nice mix of local history and modern amenities. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and modern, with a nice showerhead and upscale products for shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, lotion and bar soap. There was a jazz band playing downstairs every night we were there and my... More

This is a historic hotel, as it hosted many extras during the filming of the Wizard of Oz. However, what they have done exceptionally well is maintain the history and charter while updating it for comfort. Great bed, and showers, clean and modern feeling. The extra touches of wooden furniture in the rooms made it less sterile than other "chain'"... More

My teenage daughter and I stayed there during her Spring Break and we loved the hotel. Everyone was great to us and David was super and helped us make this a stress free, safe and successful trip for us. He gave us useful information on the metro, how to use the tap machine, the bus, and arranged for taxis when... More

I had high hopes for this hotel, due to all the great reviews and the hotel's persuasive website and the high price of the room. But it more than failed to live up to my expectations. Check-in: My husband stayed with the car outside while I went inside to check in. The desk is located inside the lobby, which looks... More

I love staying in boutique hotels, and this did not disappoint! As you walk into the lobby you are literally taken back to the 1920's golden era - it is absolutely gorgeous! The rooms are decorated in a similar art deco, elegant manner and the hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating. Each evening, the lobby comes alive with jazz... More

We just spent 2 nights here while visiting our daughter. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed, safe, iron, hair dryer, wifi, etc. Love the decor and feel of the Culver. We ate breakfast here both mornings which was great. Complimentary Continental breakfast is wonderful as are the menu dishes. Ate... More

thanks for staying. 2nd floor mysteries; Mr. Harry Culver had an office, with an Ante Room, his own restroom, an escape route to the basement that let to tunnels underneath the streets that surrounded the hotel. He had a large walk-in safe. All still exist, except for the tunnels, which collapsed when the City did renovations around the area. Come... More
