The atmosphere of this little western town is a hidden treasure. I'm so happy that I found this little gem on groupon...what a prize. The last trip I experienced orbs in about 10 of my pictures. This time I got to see with my own eyes, things moving by itself and a pretty bad scare when using the restroom on... More

This antique hotel dominates what is left of Coulterville's old downtown. 2 stories, beautiful dining room, walk-up. Few rooms have private bathrooms - down the hall in slippers for the rest of us. No on-site parking.

Went here as part of a birthday trip that my gf planned. She had never been to Yosemite. I love it, but had never seen the park in Fall. It takes a little under an hour to get to the park gate from here and maybe 20 mins to get into the valley from there. There isn't very much to... More

My wife and I had a wonderful time at the Hotel Jeffery. The owner and staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was outstanding, nothing too fancy, but very tasty. The Hotel does not have all the modern amenities travelers are used to, but it is a very charming, old building that has been very well maintained. However, it... More

This was a very spooky experience! The place is very old, and we were one of only a few guests, with the start of the winter season. It was very exciting to stay where Theodore Roosevelt and John Muir stayed. It was clean and comfortable, but not what you would expect at a modern hotel. However, it was priced accordingly.... More

We drove and drove through twisting, turning mountain roads to get to this hotel, and it was well worth it. The rooms, as one would expect, are very old and not your oversized, luxury experience. But then, that's not why you want to go. The room pictured above is the exact room we stayed in! Room #8. The owner was... More

I absolutely love this place. It's very big and has a old western feel with good ol' hospitality. The staff is so amazing and genuinely friendly. Haven't seen anything spooky yet but the hotel itself gives off a kind of chilly vibe when you are walking around the halls at night!

We saw this hotel on Groupon and thought it sounded fun. I made a reservation and I then called to give them a heads up that we would be celebrating our 20th anniversary. That would have been a great time for them to let us know the weekend was an "ANNUAL SWINGERS" get together. When we finally went to our... More
