Hello! I really debated about giving this hotel 2 stars versus the 3. But I am an understanding customer and realize that perhaps the guests hanging out in the courtyard drinking beer from coolers and being loud and interrupting our sleep could have been a fluke… I did have some concern that no one was around staff wise at the... Interesting to read the last review as the exact same thing happened to us a few weeks ago. Booked weeks in advance, 2 rooms, arrived and told problem with reservation due to a new manager and there were no rooms. The guy was good about and took us down to the Jeffery Hotel(0.5mile down road). Got a tour round and... More

The "customer service" that we received here from Joe, the front desk manager, was the single worst experience we've had in many travels. Like another customer, we made a reservation over a month in advance, only to arrive at midnight and be told by the manager that we didn't have a reservation and the hotel was full. Within minutes, we... More

We booked our room at this lodge several weeks in advance for our trip to Yosemite. After a 3 hour drive from Sacramento with our 8 month old, the gentlemen at the front desk told us someone else at the lodge had overbooked their rooms and they had to cancel our reservations. We NEVER received so much as a phone... More

This place has been completely remodeled in the last year. The owners have done a lot with an old motel. All new furnishings and the operator is very friendly. I didn't realize Coulderville was an operating ghost town with a couple of restaurants, an authentic bar and hotel. It's a pretty unique town near Yosemite. Probably not the best place... More

We arrived late into the evening, worried about finding a reasonable place to stay. The owners were incredibly accommodating, and took us in under such late notice. There is a lovely grill area with a picnic bench and chairs that has excellent lighting for late night eating. The muffins and orange juice/coffee in the morning were delicious, and the showers... I visited on 3/26/14 and they were just finishing the remodel. I had the first room, which I'm assuming is the ADA room as the bathroom was HUGE and the kitchenette was in the bathroom (which isn't my preference). It was VERY clean which I always appreciate, but as a fresh remodel didn't expect less. They weren't set up yet... More

I stayed here for 1 night for a bass tournament at lake McClure. The owner could not have been nicer or more accommodating. They were in the middle of some impressive renovations at the time, but the rooms were awesome. They have a great parking lot for boats, and electrical outlets in the eaves to charge everything up. I will... More

To our surprise it was completely renovated inside and out. New beds, mattresses, towels, sinks, cable tv's, fireplaces, etc. Complementary breakfast starts this March which is a plus, for the reasonable price. Also it's a 29 mile drive to Yosemite Westgate.

For a no frills motel this is a great place. We keep coming back year over year and stay there a few time each summer. Mike who owns the hotel is very nice and accomodating. It is very clean, has a frig and microwave and good A/C which is key after a long hot day. Very close to Coulterville which... More
