What a wonderful experience and stay we just had at the Ayres for the OC Marathon weekend! The hotel had shuttle service for runners and spectators to and from the race. They also accommodated our service dog with professionalism. Staff were friendly, helpful and upbeat. Our room was clean, spacious and the beds oh so comfy. On top of this... More

Very nice hotel for the runner. Mini bar and fridge in room was perfect. Quiet. Nice staff. Clean, quiet rooms. I ran to the start of the half marathon at Fashion Island (4 miles)with no problem and then back to the hotel from the the finish (1.5 miles) with no problem. My only complaint is the confusing floor plan with... More

They will not accommodate a late check-out request (you will be charged $30 for just 1/2 hr later). Room was dated with worn carpet and a terrible sofa sleeper (no roll-away beds available). Two stars because the restaurant/kitchen staff were super friendly.

The stay was average. The room was clean, a little outdated in style, but overall an average room. The elevator was broken during my stay, so it was a bit of an inconvenience carrying luggage up and down the stairs. Lastly, I was a bit surprised the stay didn't come with a complimentary breakfast given the room cost.

I am perplexed because parts of this hotel are very nice, but overall very disappointed. This property is located very close to Santa Ana / John Wayne airport, with yes, the jets flying over quite often. You do hear them, so be warned. A lot of Corporate housing at this hotel, as well as airline crew. The lobby is clean...and... More

I still am not sure what to think of this place. Very different. Somewhat Gothic. I felt sometimes like I was at the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland! The elevator was broken, so we had to walk all the way to the back of the hotel, which yes, is a long was, up the back elevator and then all the way... More

This is a really nice hotel. I love all of the art decor, table and chairs in the hallway, wood panels in the elevator. There are ceiling fans in the rooms, granite counters, and a marble round table. I really like the free breakfast, eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausages, ect... The happy hour free wine and food. Nice job guys!!

I should start by saying that the hotel is beautiful. I wish I could have explored the patio, restaurant and the pool area but I was too busy dealing with some pretty incompetent staff. Upon arriving and being checked in by Carl (the evening manager I believe) I attempted to make small talk and mentioned that my husband and I... More

This place is nice. Took me 2 seconds to find out that the curtains are hooked on the corner. Which prevents you from fully sliding out the curtains to block the light. I unhooked them and there was no problem. Hot tub is nice. Floors are bit dingy so bring slippers. And shower shoes are always a good idea when... More

As an airline employee I live in hotels. This is one of the best places we stay nationwide. Everything is impeccably clean, the staff is extremely friendly and professional. The breakfast buffet is outstanding, the hotel van from SNA is always on time, I could go on. Right down to the outstanding art in the hallways. I have never had... More
