This is a very old building with little or no sound proofing. It is located adjacent to a major freeway so if you are not a sound sleeper be prepared for long nights. Prior to arriving and because I am a very light sleeper I called the reservation desk and asked to be put in a room close to the... More

We stayed at the Marin Suites for a week. This hotel seems to be a former apartment complex that has been converted to a hotel. On the plus side, we had a nice sized one bedroom apartment with a good sized fully equipped kitchen, dining room, TV in the living are and bath, and lots of closet space for $99... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your recent comments. The Marin Suites HotelL 4 years ago went through a major remodel. As part of that project the entire outside of the hotel was remodeled and double pane windows were installed. Some of the additional elements were 42' flat screen tv's,remodeled bathrooms, new mattresses and a heated saltwater pool & spa. Our guests love... More

We were lucky enough to get a quiet room, but could imagine some of the rooms overlooking the freeway could be noisy. The one bed apartment was clean and functional, and the breakfast (included in rate) was great. Although it's a fairly basic accommodation, it represents true value for money and is clean and warm. The housekeeping staff were lovely.

Granted, we arrived during a heat wave. However, this hotel has NO A/C. We were given "the last portable swamp cooler." Even with the windows open (lots of outside noise!), the room never cooled below 85 (notwithstanding it was about 60 the next morning outside). The power went out a number of times (circuit overload) possibly due to a faulty... More

We would like to thank you for choosing The Marin Suites Hotel in beautiful Marin County located between San Francisco and Wine Country. The time you took to review your experience here is much appreciated. I'm sorry it did not meet your expectations. During your stay with us in September of 2010, we experienced an unusual, for this area, heat... More

Five of us spent two nights here and you can't beat it for the price for five people. We had a two-bedroom suite with three queen beds and a convertible sofa, plus a full kitchen. The living room was large with a 42" flat screen TV. The bedroom with one bed had a walk-in closet; the other bedroom had a... More

Lovely hotel for the money. Rooms are large and clean. Pool and jacuzzi were immaculate. Very above-average continental breakfast. Good facilities. We were all very pleased with our stay.

Located 20 minutes from the Golden Gate bridge and 45 minutes from Napa Valley, this hotel is perfect for people who wants to go to both. We stayed here for my friend's wedding in Santa Rosa and made it as my base to explore San Francisco and Napa Valley. There were 5 of us so I was looking for a... More

We stayed 4 nights at the refurbished Marin Suites in San Francisco. Although there was no AC, the rooms were greenly cooled with roof fans. That was good to see coupled with the lower water flush volumes in the toilets. The staff were extremely helpful and forwarded late incoming mail to our next hotel ( thanks Tom Collins). The pool... We travelled around California. Arizona, Nevada and Utah for just over three weeks , so we had plenty of experience of motels. Most were good, some very good but the Marin was exeptional. The 'Sanctuary' area was a great place to chill out and the pool and spa were great, the rooms nicely furnished, added to this was the closeness of... More
