We were looking for a nice place to be able to walk to the beach and shops in Coronado and La Avenida fits the bill nicely. If location is more important to you than room amenities, then this place is worth a look. Probably the most annoying thing about the room was the smell. I suspect it's a humidity thing... more

My wife and I were so disappinted in this Motel. It isn't a quaint little Inn, it is a room with four walls around it. So overpriced and the management was horrible. They clearly don't know the meaning of guest services and were totally unprofessional. It is the trailer park of motels. There are better places to stay in Coronado... more

La Avenida has a fantastic location on the island just opposite the Hotel Del. It is very clean with a nice pool although the water is a little too cold. My husband and I just returned from a six day vacation to Coronado, and we stayed at the La Avenida Inn. This is the fourth time we've stayed at La Avenida and we love it. We happened upon this place while traveling thru Coronado. Great location, very clean no frills room. It was located a quick walk from the Hotel Del or the beach. Another plus was the free parking! more
