The staff were all so proffessional that I feel a bit mean giving a negative review. A lovely property and all consideration is given to the guests. We had problems with the a/c in our room. It literally blasted out continually. Very noisy and very cold. The service chap was called and he said it was functioning properly. We couldn't... more

After two days in downtown San Diego, we came to Coronado for a change of pace. This hotel is intimate; just right for a couple looking for quiet strolling on the beach. The rooms are small but we don't take up that much space-a continental breakfast is included; there's a small pool and jacuzzi, and a lovely sitting room in... more

I really don't have to say anymore if you read CareerTraveler's recent post. We stayed in the VERY small inn rooms, which are the smallest rooms besides Japan I've ever stayed in. The staff and breakfast were nice, but that was about it. The pool was so crowded due to the small size, so we didn't get to use as... more

After reading reviews I was excited about our stay here and was a little disappointed when we arrived. Check in was meant to be at 3pm but it was after 4 when our room was finally ready, the staff were apologetic and did give us an ice cream coupon to help ease the wait with 2 young kids. We were... more

We had a wonderful stay in Glorietta Bay Inn. We will without any doubt return again. This hotel is probably the best alternative to staying in the Del Coronado Hotel. The only thing the hotel lacks is sea view but all the other things make up for this: clean and spacious rooms, very friendly staff, breakfast included,... A great experience.... more

Booked this hotel based on travelers reviews after reading it was a better value than the Hotel Del Coronado across the street and in reference to that point I agree. We were right across the street and were able to still take advantage of the beach and restaurants at the Del while paying a more reasonable $295 rate at the... more

This was my third stay in one of the mansion rooms. I wanted to treat my mother to a stay in the Albright Room for her birthday. The room was beautiful. We arrived early and were able to check into our room early. We loved the room. We appreciated the cookies and lemonade in the lobby in the afternoon and... more

Lovely hotel with excellent service...sort of an upscale cross between an elegant B&B and small family motel. We would most definitely stay here again. The Glorietta Bay Inn consists of a large main building--the former Spreckels Mansion, with a library, parlor area, and porch area open to all guests, for reading and relaxing, where the breakfast and afternoon cookies and... more

My fiancee and I stayed at this hotel from June 27-29,08, in celebration of my 37th birthday. The rooms were nice and clean and the staff was very helpful. This was a wonderful stay. We highly recommend this hotel. This hotel is great !!!!!! The prices is the best in Coronado, and the rooms are nice and clean. The standard... more

We stayed here May 17-23 and loved this place. We had a standard king room (free upgrade as the room was available) at the back of the mansion. The room was enormous with great air con and a nice balcony with a table and chairs. Beds are huge and very comfy - the room could not be faulted. We did... more
