The most pleasant trip we have had in many years. The Lodge was perfect, unique and just great. Karen was just super as our Host and extremely nice. Also, willing to help and assist with everything. We will stay there again and again. I Highly recommend this Lodge to anyone and everyone. Just Absolutely Great!!!!!!!! more

My husband and I stayed at the Cherokee Lodge for our wedding anniversary this year. We were excited upon arrival to see the beautiful gardens surrounding the property. The fruit trees outside with baskets of fruit near the door for guests to enjoy. We were very interested in the historical background of the building....if you stay, be sure to speak... more

We (Dad, Mum & 16 year old son) stayed at the Cherokee for a wonderful week in July. We had a double room with en-suite bathroom (shower). Room was very clean & comfortable with aircon, ceiling fans, fridge, TV and coffee maker. Free telephone calls (including international) plus PC and internet available for us. Our hosts - Karen & Ed... more

We stayed at the Cherokee Lodge three nights this week and loved it. I attended a conference while my mom and 9 month old son enjoyed the hotel. The weather was dreary the whole time, but the room had sattelite TV, free wireless internet, a computer to use if you didn't bring one, books, and a comfortable bed and couch... more

My room had a ceiling fan, mini fridge, small TV and a small couch. Instead of breakfast they gave you one coupon per guest per morning to use at a nearby diner that was worth $4 off breakfast. Of course, the vast majority of things to buy at that restaurant start at $5 and up. Pluses: - convenient location. Very... more

Cherokee Lodge is a perfect place to stay on an otherwise expensive island. The Ritz, it ain't, so if you expect some 5-star service and amenities, then look for The Dell (which I think isn't very great, and you can always just walk down to it anyway). Karen is the most excellent and loving hotel manager you could ever meet.... more

We made a trip to California recently, more specifically to the Southern part. Through a travel agent in the San Diego area, we learned of the Cherokee Lodge on Coronado Island. For a reasonable price, we found it to be a small, pleasant place where we could settle, then explore the area and beaches. It was a welcome respite from... more

I have been a repeat guest of the Cherokee Lodge for a couple of years now. It is a charming home away from home atmosphere. It was clearly explained to me that it was a B&B without the breakfast. The lodge is located just a block away from downtown Coronado so anything you need is a skip away. I have... more

We stayed in September on our visit to Coronado. We arrived at night, but there is no staff at night. They leave your key out front in an enevelope. This is just a bed, not a bed and breakfast. No meals can be attained here. The rooms are small and you will have to go across the hall to go... more
