I have wanted to stay at the Hotel del for years...My husband insisted that we book at the Beach Village b/c the main hotel was sold out for one of the nights. We were SO happy with our room at Beach Village...The "partial" ocean view was fabulous and much better than expected. The breakfast at Windsor Cottage was AMPLE for... More

The Beach Village at the Del is making the right moves. New management is listening to the guest and raising the bar. Clean, smiles, fresh paint and a few more "yes" answers makes you feel like the BV is on its way to 5 star. Cottage concierge 5/10 not a lot of creativity more robotic Cottage Breakfast Tables clean Bacon... More

We just love this gem. Yes, it costs a little more, but we love it. Don't get me wrong. We've stayed in the main hotel and it is wonderful (ask for Room 3474 if you can...great view and huge balcony!) but the Beach Village is more our speed. There is a level of privacy there. We love the pools because... More

We stayed at the Del Coronado Villa in January. The weather was wonderful. Too cold for swimming at the beach but nice for setting on the patio to enjoy the view. Since it was off season prices are lower and it is not crowded. Service is wonderful and so it the food. I would definitely go back.

We have been to the Beach Village at the Del several times now. The rooms are spacious, well appointed, clean and new. The pool and proximity to the beach can't be beat. But what really stands out to us and keeps us coming back is the service. Every member of the staff is extremely helpful, always remembers our names, orders,... More

So many of the properties in San Diego are geared towards the Sea World/Zoo audience. There is nothing wrong with catering to families but the properties tend to look more tired, the pools and restaurants are more crowded and it is hard to find a property that would rate above a high 3 star. So to me, The Beach Village... More

We stayed here for a weekend and it was one of the finest, most elegant hotels we've stayed at to date. There are two areas to this hotel: the original historic hotel and beach village. The original hotel is huge, with restaurants, shops, and bars. We stayed in the Beach Village resort of the property. The beach village has three... More

The beach villas are a beautiful addition to the grand old Hotel Del Coronado. The location is world class and the villas themselves are big, comfortable and family friendly. The staff were friendly and polite and really worked hard during our stay. Unfortunately the management seems out of touch with the way a major resort hotel needs to be run.... More

For someone not on a corporate expense account but wanting to spend more than normal for a truly outstanding stay, this isn't it. Over priced and the "charm" of the Del of the past is really missing. Stayed in the old hotel several years ago and that set my calibration. This wasn't even close. Left and went to the 1906... More

This hotel is gorgeous inside and out. very pricey but worth it at least once. The beach area is very clean and beautiful views. Within walking distance to several restaurants and lots of shopping. There is lots to see and do just in the hotel itself without having to venture out.

Our property was built in 1888, and it’s a joy to realize that our visionaries looked out on and took pleasure in the same view that we do today. The timeless elegance of the Del, and the modern luxury of Beach Village become almost superfluous next to the natural beauty of Corondo’s shores; though we do like to think they... More
