We booked a room for the night of our wedding. My new in laws also spent the weekend at the Marisol and were very pleased. The staff upgraded our room to a suite for our wedding night and it was a beautiful room. The queen room we'd booked is beautiful also, but it was fun to have the extra space.... More

What a beautiful, charming, quaint, and chic hotel all at once. We loved the lobby and sitting area. You must go sit on the patio with your morning coffee or get a bottle of wine and bring it back to sit out there at night. The rooms were gorgeous and clean. The plantation shutters on the windows are a nice... More

I see from your review that you were living like a local, feasting on breakfast burritos! For lunch or dinner, you might try a California burrito which combines a carne asada (beef) burrito with French fries! More

My husband and I stayed at the hotel for 6 glorious nights in a junior suite. Simply wonderful, elegant hotel with a location very close to the beach. Very personal, warm, inviting, beautifully renovated. Immaculate, well appointed rooms, I felt like I was home, so comfortable. Bed was extremely comfortable with luxurious linens. Large, bright bathroom with all the amenities.... More

Six nights in junior suite 306 is indeed a treat! I particularly like opening the shutters at sunset and enjoying watching the sky turn brilliant colors over Point Loma. As a frequent traveler, your praise is very much appreciated! More

I agree totally with Kim J. The hotel had just been renovated and the room looked like we were the first to use it, although that was probably not the case. Very quiet, perfect location, helpful staff. Wonderful restaurants almost right out the door. We rode our bikes to the ferry, took them aboard and rode a little thru San... More

Dear Judy from Brea, thank you for commenting about the ease of reaching San Diego via our ferry. It leaves Coronado on the half hour and bikes are free. More

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in a king suite. The hotel was wonderful and we would definitely stay here again. It has a great location for walking or riding bikes to everything. The hotel has been beautifully renovated and is very quiet. The room was extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable. Everything seemed brand... More

The Hotel Marisol is simply lovely in every respect. The staff are professional and attentive without any pretension or intrusiveness. This hotel is quiet, too, even when all the rooms are full. The location can't be beat: literally five minutes from the beach and even closer to the main restaurant and shopping street. Have drinks at the Hotel Del but rest... More

This little hotel is wonderful. It is located in the heart of Coronado within walking distance of the beach and lots of good restaurants. The hotel itself is newly renovated and is exceptionally well decorated. Our room was very bright and elegant. The elevator is a real fun surprise.

Dear Jim in Calgary, thank you for the compliment on our fun historic (and working) elevator, one of the first installed in Coronado! It's one of the charms of staying in a vintage 1927 hotel. More

My adult daughter and I stayed at the Hotel Marisol for 3 nights in one of the King rooms. Since this property was recently renovated (beautifully), it is like being in a brand new hotel! To start with the room, which was very quiet (never knew we had a neighbor)...the bed was extremely comfortable with luxurious linens, a refrigerator with... More

Dear Palmetto Girl, thank you for such a detailed and glowing review. I'm happy that you found parking to be a non-issue. That is usually the case for our guests. It sounds like you took full advantage of everything Coronado has to offer! More

This small, quiet boutique hotel was nicely designed and decorated. Highlights - the bedding/linen was luxurious, breakfast was easy and casual, and the garden was lovely. Best of all, we hardly heard or saw another guest, except in passing. We felt like we had lots of privacy and quiet. The staff were excellent and the one problem we had with... More

My husband and I were so glad to have stayed at Hotel Marisol instead of at Hotel Del Coronado. It is much quieter, quainter, and better located to the center of the town. Breakfast was delicious and now we are hooked on yogurt and granola! Thank goodness to king beds for a good night sleep. My husband and I took... More
