My husband and I spent the long 4th of July weekend (4nts) at the Coronado Marriott Resort. This is our first stay at this resort. Granted, the location is excellent and the grounds are immaculate. The other good thing is the food. I thought the food at the resort was excellent if overpriced. We ate a breakfast, lunch and a... More

Spent a fantastic week in San Diego! We had a great opportunity to visit several Marriott hotels in the area (for other reviews from this trip check out Marina Marriott, Courtyard San Diego Downtown, and Gas Lamp Marriott) The Coronado Island Marriott is a fine property. Its location is great right on the water facing downtown and near the San... More

My husband surprised me for our anniversary & booked a villa (suite) this past weekend. Unfortunately, we didn't get our room until after 5:30pm!!! Not a good way to start our quick stay. As we walked around we were impressed with the grounds, ponds, streams, pool, etc. They are very well maintained. We decided to wait by the pool as... More

Great location on Coronado with fantastic views of San Diego across the bay. We liked it better off the beaten path compared to the Del where the crowds made it a zoo. The staff was very accomodating and nice. Concierge could use an upgrade, the default answer was touting a property restaurant rather than being independent. We liked the driving... More

My husband and I have been spending 4th of July at the Coronado Marriott for the past four years. We still love the location, but we have been sad to see the hotel decline steadily in the past few years. The Good - The hotel sits right on the bay and faces downtown San Diego. This is a gorgeous view... More

Took 5 children and my wife and loved our stay. Absolutely beautiful. Great pool and hot tub, large rooms, and seperate shower (great if more than 2 in the room). Grocery store and restaurants nearby as well as a great beach at Coronado (5 minutes). Only negatives are the beds are better than most but I am spoiled to the... More

This is a great hotel for families with young children because the main pool is HUGE and 3/4th of it is only 3 feet deep! The view from the pool is also beautiful as it overlooks the bay and you can see the sailboats sailing by while you're swimming. The pool side food service was very reasonably priced for families.... Brought the family here for a tech convention downtown on company dime...that eased the $250/nite cost for two double beds that honestly would change my perception a bit. But I must say, we loved the 4 nights we spent here. First, the view of the bay was breathtaking. The room was spacious, the bathroom was in great condition and had... More

First of all, if you have reservations at this hotel I hope you give serious thought to changing your plans. We just returned from a four day "vacation" at this wanna-be resort to celebrate my 60th birthday along with my son, daughter-in-law, granddaugher, daughter and her boyfriend. If you enjoy using tissue paper thick towels, decaying rooms with torn window... More

We thought this resort was wonderful. Our bay view room was very large, clean and nicely furnished. There was plenty of room for the four of us (2 adults and 2 preschoolers), including plenty of closet and drawer space for our 5-day stay. All the staff members we encountered were friendly and helpful. They met our requests for a crib,... More
