Good location off of I-5 if you need a lay over stop. Unique restaurant just across freeway. Great steaks but be prepared for sticker shock. Room was very quiet. no freeway noise. Breakfast area cramped compared to other BW locations. I have stayed in several BW's and never saw a sign that said food must not be taken back to... More

The hotel is one level and very quiet, yet conveniently located near I-5. The room was spacious, the bed & pillows quite comfortable and free access to the internet. The breakfast was lacking! The egg dish and bacon was awful. The oj was watered down and no bananas. The dining area was way too small! The Harris Ranch restaurant is... More

Honestly I couldn't understand the overwhelming air freshener in the room when we walked in ... until the wind shifted our way from Harris Ranch. Yuck. Would I stay here again? Possibly. Would I stay here again if I had a choice? No. Room was clean; no shampoo in the built in dispenser in the shower.

We've stayed here a few times in the past 7 years. Now find that's its a little shabby and the beds are past their due date and the bed and bath linens are worn. Wouldn't stay here next time through. The locations is convenient and there's lots to do in the area -- but its time for a makeover

Interstate 5 sometimes seems very long, and a good break point in a very long stretch can be found near Coalinga, CA. The Best Western at exit 334 (junction of CA 198) is very comfortable, with a campus-style layout well protected from freeway noise. It is just across the freeway from Harris Ranch, which permits a very nice dinner and... More

Nice that there was plenty of room for our UHaul moving truck. We noticed even semi trucks had room to park. The breakfast was the usual great for Best Western. In the morning the wind shifted and the cattle feedlot odors became quite a problem.

We stay in Best Westerns often. This is a fine little hotel, with clean rooms. Located right beside a Denny's (which is nice) and just off the I-5, making it a Decent Location. Pros. Location Cleanliness Cons No workout area. BRUTAL wifi.

On our way south this year, my wife and I stayed at the Big Country Inn. It had a really nicely kept property and the rooms were big, modern and spacious. Breakfast was the usual for Best Westerns. The A/C unit was quiet and modern. You are off the highway just enough so that it is quiet. The pool area... More

Best Western Big Country Inn, is a nice place to stay. It's conveniently located right off I-5. I stay here when I travel from Northern Ca. to Southern Ca. The Motel staff is friendly, helpful & professional...and truly care about making the guest feel welcome & comfortable. The rooms are clean and comfortable...Internet isn't always good, but I think that's... More

Easy on/off; wide range of food nearby; clean; moderately priced; better than average breakfast. Also, a good break-point for a PHX-SFO trip. Feed lots nearby. This is my preferred stop-over for 22 years. Always reliable with continuing improvements to the basic plant. Reservations suggested.
