A charming and delightful experience. This older property has been tastefully brought up-to-date, yet retained the charm and relaxed, low-key ambience of simpler times. Simple earth tones, glazed ceramic floor tiles in the entry and dining areas, remote controlled ceiling fan, and flat screen HD TV contributed to a pleasant and comfortable stay. Our room was large, bright, airy and... More

We stayed here for two nights in September. Our challet/room had a double bed and twin beds in the adjoining Kitchen/eating room. There was a sink and microwave, but no kettle/coffee pot/plates/mugs/glasses etc. Breakfast was supplied - DIY toast and cereal. They have a lovely garden for sitting in but unfortunaltey the Inn is located at a busy junction which... More

We were driving through redwoods and needed to stop for night. We had a huge room for 3 people with 2 queens. It was the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in!! The decor was rustic with hammered metal bathroom counter over rustic bathroom counter. Room had a large old styled desk, as well as a 2 person table. Looked... More

If you expect very much at Vineyard Valley Inn, then you will be disappointed. The night we stayed there was noise outside the rooms until 11:30 pm and started back again at 3:30 am. There is no breakfast and if you are far from the desk, forget about the wifi working in your room. For the price and having to... More

About two weeks ago I was in Sonoma for a half marathon. Three weeks prior to this I made a reservation for 2 rooms with Vineyard Valley Inn to accommodate my mother in one room and me and my boyfriend in another. When we arrived to check in, the woman at the desk (with whom I believe I made the... More

I am normally leary of staying at a small out of the way hotel, but this one has been a delightful change. I have gotten to know the owners in my 2 week stay, they are wonderful caring people. They have owned this place almost a year now. They are continually making improvements to the hotel. The bathrooms are very... More

This is an addition to a previous review. I stayed at the Vineyard Inn again this year for the NHRA Drag Races in Sonoma. Again I was knocked out by the service and rooms at the Vineyard Inn. The upgrades Mardo (the owner) has done are first class!! My expectations were again met, and exceeded!! I would strongly recommend this... More

The first thing we noticed when pulling into the parking lot was the police car pulling out. Unfortunately we were far from home, it was 11pm and this was literally the last room available within an hours drive (we checked!), so we were stuck. They charged us $190 (including tax) for a filthy room. The beds were old and stained,... More
