Came for the week of June 30 -July 4. The day we arrived it was 99°+. During our stay, the cooler on full blast and ceiling fan were not enough to sufficiently cool off our cabin, #1 duplex. I was unable to open any windows and get some air circulation. They seemed to be painted shut. The cabin, with its... More

These lovely, quaint, '50s-style lake cottages are a perfect family, boating, or fisher's getaway. Two of the units have lakefront balconies. Unfortunately, it appears that the last time this place was properly cleaned and tended was probably also in the 1950's. Some of the decorating has recently been updated, but what is really needed is an old-fashioned scrub-down, top to... More

Blue Fish Cove Resort is a faded lady. There were few screens and the one there was did not keep out the bugs. Hundreds of them came into the cottage. The bottom part of the smoke detector was on top of the refrigerator and the towels had a bad odor seemingly suffering from poor laundering. The back exit to the... More

As long as expectations are for a lakeside fishing cottage then this "resort" is not bad. first the pros: boat launch, beach access with lake swimming at your own risk in the summer, beach fireplaces, gorgeous view of the lake and the opposite shore/mountains, very friendly proprietor who has owned the property since 1997 by her own admission. The cons:... More

I'm convinced there are some phony reviews for this place because there is no way this place could have gone downhill so fast. It takes months or years of neglect for a place to be this dirty. Cobwebs on the walls, musty smell, crumbs/dirt on bathroom and kitchen floor, dust and dead bugs all over the doors/windows. No way this... More

This place is wonderful! We've gone there 2 years in a row for our anniversary. So romantic to sit in your cottage's front yard and see and hear the lake. Our dogs love it too! They're really nice people, the place is clean, and it's very peaceful and low-key. We highly recommend for anyone wanting to truly "get away" from... More

There should be a category for the type of traveling person you are, that way people could decide who is worth . I like a place with character and can stay in a clean strip motel. We actually stayed in the Baldwin retreat, which is part of Blue Fish. The place was not clean. It is a requirement that tenants... More

Stayed here in October 2010. The cabin was on the lake's edge & the views amazing. The full kitchen was a bonus, the bed comfy, and for the price, good value. Negative feedback will be from folk who wouldn't be happy with 'The Hanging Gardens of Babylon'!

Fabulous woman at beautiful Lucerne Tourist Info recommended Blue Fish. Didn't want to spend so much, but stayed in #7 for a bit more. SO PEACEFUL!!! Only one night, but with full kitchen I could imagine days sitting out on the deck enjoying the sunrises and sunsets. Big bonus was seeing otters playing on the boat slips. We were treated... More

We were here for one night on the 3rd of July. After being on the windswept Oregon Coast it was nice to feel some warmth. Rang ahead that afternoon and one of the cottages was kept for us, despite no advice of credit card details. It reminded me of our beach shack in Phillip Island. The sleeping arrangements were cozy... More
