Well, first of all you will have to accept the fact that it is a motel, not a fancy-expansive hotel. Second, for a motel, it is very nice. The room is clean with a fridge. The location is convenient and you may take a trolley to downtown or drive for 15 minutes to get there. Parking is free and wireless... more

A good, basic, more than adequate two star motel which is clean, quiet and convenient to san diego and south bay and tijuana. It is close to I5 but not noisy. Lots of nearby restuarants including El Torito (tex-mex), those at the marina (seafood), and Zorba's (greek). Internet is a bit slow and costs $5/day. The morning "continental" breakfast is... more

Dear CaptnKrunch, Thank you very much for inputting your comments on the website. You've mentioned all the highlights of the property and I thank you. I appreciate you mentioning Zorbas Greek restaurant I have eaten there several times myself and it is very good. I will add them to our restaurants nearby for future guest. Thanks again, Catherine

This is the 3rd of 4th time I've stayed at this Hidden Gem. It is very nice and a great value. I can see how it might be missed on the freeway, but it is worth finding. Plus, it is not far from SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo, or on one of my stays it was for business at the convention... more

The greatest thing about this hotel is its location. It is right off the freeway even though you would hardly notice that there is a freeway nearby. It is a very calm area. The hotel faces a beautiful nature reservation and the bay. When we visited all the yellow flowers were in bloom and the air smelled like honey. It... more

Thank you Very Much for all of the information you provided to the other readers. April & May I have noticed is the prettiest time of the year with the flowers in Bloom across the street in the field. Since your comments, the staff and I have been working hard to improve the information we provide at check in to...

I found this hotel to be very affordable for an educator on a tight budget. I was delighted to find that I was able to get almost anywhere in the city by the use of the Trolley which is only a short walk (under a block). There are also great eating options within walking distance, some of the best adjacent... more

Dear Mr. Brigham, Thank you so much for your high compliments of our Hotel & Staff. I am glad that we were able to provide the conveniences and amenities that you needed. You're absolutely correct about the Trolley System. It is one of the best kept secrets on how to get around San Diego, The Convention Center, DownTown San Diego,...

Definitely looks better in the pictures. My wife asked if we were at the right motel. We also requested a non-smoking room that stunk of smoke. Not very nice. The only pluses were cheap price and convenient access to I-5. Would not stay there again. more
