I was in Chula Vista to pick up a child who attended a camp at the Olympic Training facility. While the B&B is about a 20 minute drive from the olympic facility, a friend recommend this quaint B&B; and I am delighted she did. The hotel offers secure, off-street parking with the room - a novel concept these days in... More

What a gem of a hotel/b&b at the heart of Chula Vista. I was amazingly surprised at this quaint, clean, lovely boutique hotel. A must stay if you are a budget traveller like me. We were lucky to be put in the "Del Coronado" room which was huge and it had its own bathroom. The furniture in the rooms were... More

Had to be in Chula Vista for a work conference. My work reserved this room for me and at first I was hesitant since I had never stayed at a bed and breakfast but after this I may have to stay at BnBs more. First of all the personal service is great. My fiancé and I arrived after flying I... More

I stayed at the El Primero while visiting my son in Chula Vista, who was cordially invited by the owners to come over for breakfast. The breakfast is fantastic, with beautifully laid out tropical fruits, quiches, and great coffee. Everything is family-run with a personal touch. Clean rooms, retro 1930's architecture, which I like, nicely refurbished.I will be back.

Don't let the star rating from the industry fool you. This little b&b is the perfect get-away for those on vacation or needing a stay-cation. Pie and Sol are welcoming landlords and I highly recommend calling the hotel personally to make the reservation. They asked about me and what I needed and even remembered the details when we had breakfast.... More

What I loved most about this hotel was the customer service. The woman who answered the phone actually remembered my fiancee's name when we called to make a reservation. We were both touched!! Pie put on an excellent breakfast buffet - fresh fruits (including papaya and pineapple), hard boiled eggs, english muffins, bacon, etc. It was great! The breakfast courtyard... More

My husband and I recently spent several days in Chula Vista and we were so comfortable at this beautiful little hotel. It is the nicest place we have stayed in a very long time. The "innkeeper" and his wife are warm and friendly, always available with suggestions for what to do, where to go, or just for a bit of... More

El Primero was everything we needed for a great experience in a great city! I was so comfortable here I slept like a rock every night. The beds are comfortable, pillows firm, widows can open for fresh air (but there is also great air-conditioning) – and the best part is how quiet the rooms are! The hotel is small so... More

First thing you notice in this little hidden gem is the owners have put a lot of love into this hotel. From the architecture that has been lovingly restored, to the yummy breakfast, they did everything possible to make us feel right at home! It's an older building which has a lot of character. The rooms are comfortable and clean.... More

I booked this hotel for my wife on 2/13/14 for a stay from 7/19/14 to 7/26/14. She is traveling with her girlfriend. Priceline said that they can promise a room for two people, but what if they don't want to sleep together in a queen bed? I thought that since the stay is so far off, that it would be... More
