We were in Chico for a wedding and stayed an extra day. Diamond is ideal for enjoying Chico's downtown. Have stayed here on business a number of times and the hotel never disappoints. Staff are friendly and attentive. The bar and restaurant are being renovated, but there was a nice breakfast downstairs.

Even though the restaurant and bar were being remodeled and out of commission during my stay, this was still a top notch lodging facility. The rooms were well appointed, staff provided excellent service, and a very good location. As a Hilton Diamond level lodger, my vast hotel experience reinforced the quality of this non-Hilton property. Even though Hilton is missing... More

I was in town for my daughter's sorority moms weekend and had a tough time finding a hotel for both Friday and Saturday nights. I appreciated the hotel's staff putting me on a waiting list and they actually called me and coordinated my two-night stay; I was grateful because there are not many options in town. Hotel Diamond was a... More

We came up to tour the college and stayed overnight. The hotel is perfectly located, gorgeous inside and well priced. All of the amenities were thought of- the rooms were beautifully decorated, there were Aveda products in the bathroom (my fave!) and great bedding and pillows. Close walking distance to great local eateries and easy parking in the next door... More

2009 visit .... What a wonderful, quaint, hotel. I stayed there with my brother, sister-in-law, and their son who was 16 months old at the time. The staff remembered my nephew's name throughout our stay. The rooms were cozy. The staff were always helpful. The "continental breakfast" was delicious - and free for hotel guests. We stayed there November 2009... More

I've stayed at this hotel about 5 years previous, and have to say it was still a nice place to stay. The location is very close to USC Chico – like 4 blocks away. So walking distance to my reason for visiting. Parking is easy as they have complimentary parking in the ramp right next door. The restaurant and bar... More

I only stayed overnight but was pleasantly surprised. The room was very clean and the amenities were perfect.we were close to the university and our son was able to easily walk to the hotel from his dorm room.

The Hotel Diamond is a classic old hotel located in downtown Chico. Renovated and brought up to date, you cannot go wrong here. Friendly staff, modern rooms, central location, and Johnnie's Restaurant. My wife and I stayed at the Diamond one night in early January 2015 and were not disappointed. Johnny's serves a selection of traditional breakfasts. The whole hotel... More

My husband and I live in Chico and have stayed at Hotel Diamond several times. It is a great getaway without traveling. Our room was a king deluxe corner room which was very spacious, comfortable bed and pillows, robes, Aveda products, complimentary water. Also you get a $10.00 voucher towards breakfast. A regular breakfast of eggs, bacon, potatoes is $10.00.... More

I booked this as a final night of a northern California vacation with my husband. I thought it would be nice, cozy, and romantic. In the end, it just wasn't our style. It's not the hotel's fault, but the stay was a little fussier than we like. Also, the fake historicism was a little off. I'm sure we could have... More
