I only stayed overnight but was pleasantly surprised. The room was very clean and the amenities were perfect.we were close to the university and our son was able to easily walk to the hotel from his dorm room.

The Hotel Diamond is a classic old hotel located in downtown Chico. Renovated and brought up to date, you cannot go wrong here. Friendly staff, modern rooms, central location, and Johnnie's Restaurant. My wife and I stayed at the Diamond one night in early January 2015 and were not disappointed. Johnny's serves a selection of traditional breakfasts. The whole hotel... More

My husband and I live in Chico and have stayed at Hotel Diamond several times. It is a great getaway without traveling. Our room was a king deluxe corner room which was very spacious, comfortable bed and pillows, robes, Aveda products, complimentary water. Also you get a $10.00 voucher towards breakfast. A regular breakfast of eggs, bacon, potatoes is $10.00.... More

I booked this as a final night of a northern California vacation with my husband. I thought it would be nice, cozy, and romantic. In the end, it just wasn't our style. It's not the hotel's fault, but the stay was a little fussier than we like. Also, the fake historicism was a little off. I'm sure we could have... More

Very charming with nice bar & Restraunt. Remand old building into a older hotel that is comfortable in everyway. We have stayed several times over the last several years and never disappointed. Nice walk around the town with sever chices for good food and drink. We will always pay a little more for a special place.

The best hotel to stay at in chico. Perfect location to walk to shops and restaurants. We stayed in the diamond suite for our anniversary as well as loaned it out to a friend of ours that used it to get ready for her own wedding. The diamond suite comes with a huge soaker tub that is perfect for two,... More

I stayed here for 2 nights for a recent family event and really liked this hotel. As others have said, it's a classic hotel that's been nicely restored. The hotel has had a rough life at times, but the short version of their history is that the building was purchased in 2001 for restoration, and opened in 2005. We found... More

I stayed here for 3 nights. A very cozy hotel. The rooms were immaculate, bed was comfortable. Staff was very friendly and really cared that you have a great experience staying there. The onsite restaurant was good but expensive. If you are in the area and want a small town atmosphere, with all the fixings, this is the place.

Never been to Chico before, and this was recommended by a friend who went to school here. It is an older 4 story hotel building in downtown Chico. I am a light sleeper, and this place was great. Despite being downtown, I heard NO traffic noise. Except for the front rooms (two per floor, I think), the rest of the... More

Service was slow and management wasn't concerned with issues. The area doesn't offer all the is advertised. Was shocked to see the bathroom not clean and the soap from previous person still in the shower. Then had are car broken into . Not a good location. Won't be back.
