Big Springs Resort is run by Cherie(the manager) who was just a gem to work with during our stay at Lake Almanor. We rented a small cabin which gave us access to a boat dock, kayaks and fishing just across the road. It was such a joy to have our morning coffee and late night glass of wine while sitting... More

Lou, the manager, made us feel right at home. The cabin was wonderful! Very clean. We had the cabin with a small front porch and enjoyed the view of the lake while drinking our coffee. The cabin was well stocked with kitchen items, the linens and blankets were cozy and we were very comfortable. We plan on coming back here... More

My husband and I just spent our anniversary weekend here staying in a studio cabin, which was clean and had everything we needed. The owner/manager was nice and helpful. He also accommodated us with parking our two jet skis. We had a very pleasant time there and look forward to visiting again.

This was our first time to Big Springs Resort and we had a wonderful time. Lou, the manager, was exceptional - extremely friendly and helpful from start to finish. Our cabin was on the rustic side, but very clean and comfortable. Our family members stayed in another cabin, which was perfect for them. It had a great view of the... More

This was the second time I've stayed at this location in the same cozy little cabin. Big Springs is great as it can accommodate just about any family size. My boyfriend and I stayed in a studio cabin with a front porch that has a pretty good view of the lake. The cabin has a bunk bed with a full... More

We just returned from a 4 nite stay at this cute little park with our travel trailer. It is not one of those giant asphalt parks - I believe there are about 8 RV sites and several cabins available for rent - again not a huge place, which we appreciate. This place was clean and well managed - internet connection... More

The staff of Big Springs Resort were open minded and courteous and expectations were clear because no assumptions were made by us. We asked lots of questions to be sure we understood what was being offered and also to be sure our own unique needs would not be an inappropriate burden We stumbled upon Big Springs Resort not as a... We stayed in an RV spot at this resort and had a good experience overall. The manager Steve was helpful to us in several ways and even let us borrow an outdoor rug so we could avoid tracking in dirt and pine needles. There was a picnic table at our spot, which was handy for outdoor dining. While there wasn't... More

We had a great time at Big Springs Resort. Our cabin was clean, roomy and nice. The view of the lake from our deck was awsome. We really don't have any complants. Yes there was alittle dirt and alittle pine needles around but this a cabin in the mountains. The owner, lou and the camphost, Steve were wonderful people with... More

Recently, we stayed in a "studio apartment" - it has to be the tiniest mobile home they make. The TV was mounted next to the ceiling in a corner and was about the size of a laptop computer screen. The bathroom had linoleum from the '50's and had been glued down on the edges several times with different types of... More
