Loved the authentic beautiful Hotel Lapita. We worried about mosquitoes, but there were none for our September stay. Everything we wanted was there and more thanks to the attentive staff! Especially loved the pool, beach, gardens, and the archeological perspective that was incorporated into every lovely aspect!

Where to start; fantastic location, right on the surf reef and nestled by the lagoon in an old archaeological village. Rooms are superb - spacious and in keeping with the surroundings. Very friendly and helpful staff with top service. Great food. Lovely pool with amazing view of the beach and reef. Everything was perfect, the only possible niggle is that... More

The grounds are beautiful. The rooms are large and nicely decorated. But the best part of this island are the people. They were the kindest I met on our stays and this hotel and island was the most relaxed. I didn't begin to let go on Tahiti or Moorea but when I got to Huahine I truly did. I loved... More

We were unsure of what we would find when we booked this hotel, but the reviews were positive so we gave it a try. The hotel is a series of bungalows built in a garden setting. The rooms are huge! Our room was 18'x18' not including the bathroom. The rooms have stone floors and beautiful bathrooms. The hotel was built... More

First let me say this was the last stop for us after Tahiti, Moorea, bora bora and them Huahine We were at a 5 star in Bora Bora and I knew this hotel was was in that category. The room air conditioner ran non stop and it was somewhat "cool" but even at the lowest setting never felt chilly. I... More

We stayed at this beautiful little resort for two wonderful nights in April. We opted for the lagoon view superior bungalow and it was gorgeous. The room was beautifully appointed with authentic decor pieces which capture the essence of the "Lapita village" site that the hotel is built on. The bungalow is spacious with a huge bedroom area and large... More

We stayed here on our honeymoon and loved it!!! Also making stops in Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora. I corresponded with the hotel prior to arrival and our stay here did not disappoint! Check-in took longer than we like, but given the friendly nature of the staff and perfect room we were ok with it. The hotel welcomed us wholeheartedly and... More

Full disclosure here, The first time we visited here was a number of years ago and stayed 4 nights. Enjoyed it so much that on this visit to Huahine, we had to drop in for a visit even though we were only on the island for a day and couldn't stay over. Thus while we visited we did not sleep... Hi! We have travelled all over the world and stayed everywhere from backpacker's hostels to ultraluxe resorts. Maitai Lapita Village is a very comfortable, very well-maintained property that would be appealing for folks at either end of the spectrum. The rooms are huge. Ours had a deck overlooking the pond. The views from the restaurant are lovely. The staff could... More
