A local took me to this restaurant and that was absolutely worth it! The view is spectecular: palm trees with a clear blue sea. Besides that the food was great too. We had fish with coconut curry and the fish steak. Both very tasty. Definitely recommend this place.

The hotel Atiapiti was an unexpected delight. It takes about 45 mins to reach from Raiatea airport. We were met by the owners husband I think who didn't speak much English and our French is not great but they had the young lad along too and his English was impeccable. He was happy to give us all the info we... More

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights last week and would love to spend a week. Raiatea is quiet but beautiful and we felt we had just scratched the surface of things to do. Aresene picked us up at the airport and took us to the Supermarket as the hotel (a series of 6 or 8 bungalows) serves... More

We stayed at on of owner Marie-Claude's beach-front cottages. The cottages are rustically beautiful, with windows and doors open all day and night the fresh breezes were awesome. The property is very safe. Hotel Atiapiti is a very short walk from amazing Marae Taputapuatea (a communal or sacred place that serves religious and social purposes in Polynesian societies). It is... We loved our stay here. Our room was beachfront and was very spacious. Perfect for 2 adults and one child. Marie-Claude and her partner (whose name I can"t spell) are so hospitable. The hotel is a long way from town and you need to be prepared for that. We made our breakfast in our room and that was lovely to... More

We stayed at Hotel Atiapiti as a stop over on our way to Vahine Island Resort. Our flight came in late in the day and Marie, the owner, was gracious enough to pick us up at the airport. Even though their restaurant was closed she cooked us dinner as we were starving and delivered it to the room in the... More

This is by far the most ideal place I have stayed in French Polynesia. I booked it because my wife and I wanted to visit the marae, and it could not be closer. The owner Marie-Claude picked us up at the airport and is a delightful tri-lingual hostess, enthusiastic: knowledgeable, very unique entertaining. Our bungalow was 10 m from the... More
