We stayed there a few months ago. It's not fancy but neither was the price. Come on, how much did you think it's going to cost for a room in a small coastal town in California? We got what we paid for. We got a clean room, easy access to the beach (even if we had to cross the street)... More

There were only two hotels available in Cayucos for the weekend we were going. Both had poor reviews but the Dolphin was a little better. The cost for one night was $179.00 but should have been priced around $80.00. Supply and demand of course is the driving factor. The place is old and shows it. It just feels neglected. However,... This is a hometown style motel, right on the main road, just a short hop to the beach, restaurants and Shops. The room was surprising clean with confortable bed, we had a major step down into our bathroom, which proved to be a little rough in the middle of the night, but the shower was warm and nice. Breakfast was... More

First off they charged 10 dollars a night for my dog..when other places charge 2 ..second you walk in the room and it stinks and they have the nerve to charge 10 dollars for my dog.. ..Thank God I had room spray to try and get the smell out..then the bed...WHAT A JOKE it's more like a slide..you sit on... We made a mistake by not booking somewhere in advance in Morro Bay. It was Veterans weekend and every hotel was booked out. We decided to drive on to Cayucos to see if there was anything available. Sadly for us there was only this place. The first room we were given was right on the road and a bathroom with... More

We called days ahead and reserved a room for two nights. After driving hundreds of miles, we arrived to find out that the manager had only reserved one night for us thus leaving us completely stranded for the second night of our long awaited vacation (everything else in town was completely booked due to a car show). The manager unapologeticly... More

We stayed at The Dolphin Inn for two nights. Our lodging decision was based on price and The Dolphin Inn quoted very reasonable prices. Unfortunately, I had nothing in writing except my notes written while comparing motel pricing. Due to a language barrier it was difficult to get an explanation of our nightly charges. I am supposed to receive a... More

This is our second time to stay here. This time we got a bungalow so our grandkids would be able to stay with us. The rooms were very clean, a small kitchen, a very nice patio and barbeque next to it. It is within walking distance to everything!!! We were able to go to the beach and come back for... More

Whenever we stay in Cayucos, we always have Rick and Rebecca over at the Seaside Motel host us. One Saturday, we decided on a whim to go to Cayucos and stayed over for the night. Looking at the photos and description on the motel's official web site vs. seeing it in person made me chuckle out loud. Keep in mind... More

The Dolphin Inn is a simple motel on a main road, a short way to the beach, restaurants and pubs. The room was clean with confortable bed, bathroom with window and good shower. Breakfast is good: coffee, milk, cerals, pastry and chocolate biscuits. We spent the morning doing the laundry!
